2nd Annual Executive Forum
Thursday, October 12th

Seattle University, Casey Commons, 5th Floor

Tye Simpson: WSP - NW Area Water Manager

The Executive Forum is an annual event sponsored by the Seattle ASCE Younger Member Forum that provides young engineers and students with an opportunity to meet prominent individuals holding leadership positions in private consulting firms, public agencies, construction companies and minority and women-owned businesses in the Seattle area.
 
At the Executive Forum, a group of panelists discuss their career paths and experiences, provide insight into future developments in the civil engineering field and offer inspiring advice to young engineers. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists and network with engineers from other companies.


 
Free Admission for Students
$20 for professionals

Appetizers & Beer/Wine will be provided for 21+ (ID required)

Seeking Popsicle Stick Bridge Committee Members
Preparation for the Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition is underway and we need your help! We are currently looking for volunteers to help plan and organize this unique and anticipated event. (We will be seeking volunteer help for the day-of event event at a later date). 

Positions we still need help with:

Sponsors Coordinator: contacting businesses/companies to help recruit sponsors for the event

High School Outreach: help contacting and/or visiting high schools, need multiple people

Media Coordinator: Hype the event and get word out

There are many other small tasks that could always use more assistance.  So, if you would like to help in any way please don't hesitate to reach out!

Tree Planting: October Community Service Event

Join the Nature Consortium staff at Pigeon Point Park in West Seattle for a native tree and shrub planting! Volunteers needed! Event followed by pizza and live music. Please bring water and wear long pants and long sleeves as well as closed toe shoes. Gloves and tools provided!

Please join the UW ASCE Student Chapter for our service event on Friday October 6th from  4:30  to  6:30 PM .

Come paddle around with us ( for free!) as we clean up trash and other debris in Lake Washington! It'll be three people to a canoe, and feel free to bring friends!

If you like volunteering with kids, this is the event for you! Seattle YMF is looking for volunteers for part of the day on Saturday, November 11th, to interact with some engineer-bound (potentially) kids. 

Event will incorporate some aspect of civil engineering that you will get to explain to the kids.
