The NAIA now offers a Watch Party option for select national championships via the NAIA Network. This is ideal for larger groups
that want to watch multiple championships.

NEW: New Site for Swim & Dive National Championships
The NAIA Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships
will find a new home in Tennessee as the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission will be the new host for the 2020 and 2021 events at
the Allan Jones Aquatics Center.

NEW: 2019 Baseball Rules & Updates
To view updates and interpretations of the 2019 Baseball Rules,

Due to a number of questions concerning an NAIA baseball rule modification, an interpretation of the Courtesy Runner Rule has
been issued.
NEW: USGA Adopts New Local Rule
The USGA has adopted a new Local Rule for an Alternative to Stroke
and Distance for Lost Balls or Balls out of Bounds. This rule permits a player who may have hit a ball out of bounds or encounters a lost
ball to take relief at the nearest point in the fairway to where the
ball was lost or out of bounds with a two stroke penalty.
 
This rule is not intended for professional or elite amateur competitions.
It will not be adopted for NAIA National Championship events and
should not be used for any regular season or conference post-season events. If this local rule is used for a regular season or conference
post-season event, those results will not count towards selection and
all results will be null and void.

Updates
NEW: NAC Meetings Scheduled for NACDA Convention
The National Administrative Council (NAC) Executive Committee approved the overall NAC schedule for the NACDA Convention,
June 10-12, 2019. Convention and hotel registration for the NACDA Convention opens Feb. 13. The host hotel usually sells out quickly,
so book early if that's your preferred hotel.

NEW: Update on Football Postseason Reimbursement
The first year under the new postseason reimbursement model for football proved successful. The football dues and insurance system allowed for 100% reimbursement and approximately $300,000 added
to the reserve fund for use in future years.
Upcoming Deadlines
NEW: Winter Sports Awards Deadline February 15
The winter sports awards deadline is February 15. This includes competitive cheer, competitive dance, basketball, swimming & diving, wrestling, and bowling. Nominations are being accepted for the NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete Award through SIDHelp. Nominations for the Champions of Character Individual Award can be submitted here. NEW: Men's Basketball All-Star Nominations Due February 22
The NAIA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game returns Tues., March 26
as a part of a double header with the 2019 NAIA Men’s Division I Championship game. Both Division I and II basketball coaches can nominate players. The deadline for nominations is February 22, 2019. Contact Austin Bennett with any questions.

NEW: Football Showcases Scheduled for early March
The NAIA Showcase will host football events on Sat., March 2 in Waxahachie, Tex. and on Sat., March 9 in Bowling Green, Ky. This
is a great opportunity for coaches to recruit, connect, and promote
their program to prospective student-athletes.

Register for the 2019 National Convention
Join the NAIA for the  78th Annual NAIA National Convention  to be
held April 11-15, 2018 at the Hilton West Palm Beach, Florida. The national convention includes voting on proposed legislation changes, professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and
the chance to hear directly from NAIA leadership.

The new Eligibility Center Fee Waiver method is now in effect. If a student's financial circumstances have changed since high school or their high school is unable to confirm their fee waiver, please contact the eligibility center.
