Principal's Message
On
Friday, February 15 GCPS will observe a Student/Teacher Holiday and on
Monday, February 18 GCPS has scheduled a Teacher Planning/Staff Develop and Student Holiday. Please be mindful that teachers will not be available to students on these days. This is a great
opportunity to catch up on some school work or simply enjoy some downtime.
We are excited about GOC's upcoming Virtual Week scheduled for
February 19-21. Please be sure to pay attention to the section below regarding Virtual Week preparation.

GOC Opens Full-Time Registration for 2019-2020
Full-time registration is open through February 28 for new students in grades 4-12 interested in attending Gwinnett Online Campus for the 2019-2020 school year. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration process is not complete until all
required documents
are presented to the school office.
Interested families are encouraged to attend an open house informational session and tour the school's
campus
on the following dates:
Tues., Feb. 12 from 10-11 a.m.

Grades 9-12

Wed., Feb. 13 from 10-11 a.m.
|
Grades 4-6
|
Thurs., Feb. 14 from 10-11 a.m.
|
Grades 7-8
|

Attention Current GOC Families!!
Registration for new families will be open through
February 28
on a first-come, first-served basis. For planning purposes, all existing full-time GOC students will be automatically re-enrolled for the 2019-2020
school year.
Current families with students who will be new
to GOC will need to register their child during the open enrollment period which closes February 28. Current families are encouraged to register new students early
in February to ensure space.
If you know your student
will not
return to GOC next year, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can open the spot to a new family during full-time registration. Those students who will not return next year will need to come on campus to withdraw after grades are posted in May 2019.

Grades 9-12: Advanced Placement Registration
Registration is now open for any advanced placement (AP) college board exam. Please reference the 2018-2019 AP Exam document for testing dates and registration information. Students may register through their MyPaymentsPlus account.

Grades 4-12: Virtual Week Preparation
Students, if you plan to be on campus next week,
February 12-14,
for help sessions and/or interactive CORE/Learning Labs, please plan to bring the following items listed below with you to campus to help you prepare for Virtual Week scheduled for
February 19-21:
-Personal Laptop
-Headset
-Webcam (if external)
Students, your live virtual sessions will follow the same schedule as your virtual sessions/interactive CORE/Learning Lab throughout the normal week.

In case you missed it last time or you just want more practice learning how to play the soprano recorder, please join us for
Fine Arts Club on:

This will be the last opportunity this school year to play the soprano recorder in one easy lesson!
All students are welcome to attend. Instruments will be provided and no prior music experience is required.

Grades 9-12: Balfour Scholastic Images Campus Visit
GOC is excited to announce that we are partnering with Balfour Scholastic Images to offer students, who qualify, the opportunity to purchase a Letter Jacket.
GOC students are eligible to letter in the following areas:
Balfour Scholastic Images will be on campus on Tuesday, March 5 from Noon-1:30 p.m. to size students currently eligible for Letter Jackets and to speak with students about other products that they may be interested in.
Students who lettered for the 2017-2018 school year will receive a mailer with instructions on how to purchase a Letter Jacket.
Students who are interested in learning more about lettering for the 2018-2019 school year should also plan to attend the Balfour Scholastic Images information session on Tuesday, March 5.
