On Thursday, September 20, the  Northwest ISD Education Foundation  will be participating in Communities Foundation of Texas' 10th annual North Texas Giving Day, an 18-hour online giving extravaganza for our whole region.  North Texas Giving Day has inspired people to give, resulting in increased donations and services provided in North Texas.  Help us reach our goal of $10,000 on September 20.  Your donation will benefit the 24,100+ students and 2,700+ educators in our school district.

Here's how you can help:

1. Get up and give on September 20!
Your gift matters!  If you donate to NEF on North Texas Giving Day between 6 a.m. and midnight, your dollar will be stretched with $3,000 matching funds from the NISD Education Foundation Board of Directors.  Not available on September 20?  No worries!  Schedule your donation between September 10 and September 19 and make your gift count!  To give, go to NorthTexasGivingDay.org/NEF .

2. Spread the word!
Spread the word to your friends and loved one about NEF and North Texas Giving Day!  Don't forget to tag @isupportNEF and #NTxGivingDay if you'reposting online!  Encourage your friends and family to get up and give too!

Business partners donate more than $12,000 to support NEF

The Northwest ISD Education Foundation helped kick off the new school year as the sponsor of the district's annual back-to-school events.  On August 13, NISD welcomed more than 300 educators to get to know the district and one another at New Teacher Breakfast.  On August 21, more than 2,700 teachers and staff gathered for a pep rally style Convocation event with student performances and guest speakers.  To see photos, click here.  Local businesses and organizations sponsored vendor tables to share information with staff.  Each sponsor donated a door prize and made a donation to the foundation raising $12,700 to support innovative teaching grants and student scholarships!  Special thank you to our sponsors for their support!
