2018 In Review: A Record-Breaking Year in Blue Ash
2018 was an exceptional year for economic development in the City of Blue Ash with a record-breaking 3,000 jobs announced. For comparison, the City has welcomed between 1,000 - 1,500 annually for the past three years.

The bulk of the jobs announced in 2018 will come from Ensemble Health Partners. The company  declared in the fall that it will open its new corporate center in the western campus of the former P&G property. Ensemble anticipates having more than 2,000 employees in the space by 2020, making it one of the largest employers in Blue Ash and the region's largest economic development deal for the year. 

New in Town:
Several more companies have recently announced expansions or relocations to the City of Blue Ash.

  • Truepoint Wealth Counsel chose to expand in Blue Ash and move to a larger space. The wealth management firm will be relocating into Blue Ash's Landings III, located at 9999 Carver Road. Truepoint will be leasing 25,000 sq. ft. and creating 32 new jobs. Read the Cincinnati Business Courier report.

  • Molina Healthcare is relocating its Ohio regional office to Blue Ash. The company is leasing 9,000 sq. ft. of space in Landings II, located at 9987 Carver Road. Molina Healthcare will have 30 employees in this space.

  • Jenzabar will be moving its regional office to 10300 Alliance Road, where it will be leasing 13,000 sq. ft. of space in the Pfeiffer Place building for 50-60 employees. The Boston-based company provides software solutions for students and higher education institutions.

  • Hawk Ridge Systems will open its first office in Greater Cincinnati at Lake Forest Place. The 3-D design and manufacturing company, based in California's Silicon Valley, will lease 2,500 sq. ft. at 4445 W. Lake Forest Drive.

  • Cardno USA, Inc. is leasing 3,100 sq. ft. at Landings III, located at 9999 Carver Road. Cardno is a global infrastructure, environmental, and social development company operating in more than 100 countries.

  • Clifton Labs, a computer engineering and software development company, announced its relocation to 4410 Carver Woods Drive.
Construction progresses at Neighborhoods at Summit Park site:
The 98-acres next to Summit Park is transforming into a vibrant development called "The Neighborhoods at Summit Park," bringing a walkable, urban atmosphere to the heart of Blue Ash.

Construction is currently underway on the mixed-use building called "The Approach at Summit Park," which will include 290 luxury apartments (one bedroom and two bedroom), 39,000 square feet of commercial space, and a parking structure. According to the developer, the first apartment units are scheduled to become available in late 2019. Plans are currently underway to bring unique dining options to The Approach at Summit Park, as well as other interesting commercial uses.
Blue Ash releases new Economic Development brochure:
This brand-new marketing and informational piece highlights some of the aspects which make Blue Ash the premiere community to locate or expand. It also shares helpful details regarding renting a meeting space in Blue Ash, becoming a member of the recreation center, a local restaurant map, and more. The brochure will be updated throughout the year to reflect new City projects and economic development news.

Roundabout coming to Glendale-Milford Road:
The City of Blue Ash expects construction on a new roundabout project to begin in the summer of 2019. The roundabout will be located at Glendale-Milford Road and Lake Forest Drive. Traffic will be maintained during construction with temporary lane closures. Additional information regarding this construction will be released in the coming months.

This will be the first of three roundabouts on Glendale-Milford Road. The roundabouts are part of the City's efforts to reduce traffic congestion in Blue Ash.
