CUSTOMER CORNER - ARMSTRONG FEED & SUPPLY
A VC FAMILY TRADITION
Armstrong "Family" (l-r) Jax Murron, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Gonzalez, Daisy Penaloza, Liam Kennedy, Trent Green, Sonia Penaloza, Steve Green, Fatima Rubio and Ellie Belcher.

In 2008, the Armstrong Family took over ownership of Valley Center's oldest feed store. In August 2009, they merged with Valley Center Feed becoming Valley Center's largest feed store! So no  need to drive down the grade as they have everything you need for all your animals right here in Valley Center!

Further, they have been involved in animal agriculture in Valley Center for over 50 years, and they routinely hold seminars to share their vast animal knowledge with the community. Not only do they sell all the supplies you need, but they also supply you with all you need to succeed!

Armstrong's is dedicated to supporting the Valley Center community and are long-time supporters of FFA, 4-H and other school activities, which is just one of the reasons they are held in such high regard by all.

Armstrong Feed & Supply takes great pride in providing superior customer service and they really love their customers! That's why they hold several special events throughout the year, including their  annual "Customer Appreciation Day" held October 13th. In spite of the rain, Valley Center turned out for this great event which included big sales, buckets of freebies, raffles, a BBQ lunch and much more!

Of course, Armstrong doesn't just supply animals, they also carry items and gifts for people, too, so be sure and check those out, especially with the holidays coming up.

Thank you, Armstrong Feed & Supply, for all you do for our community!

PVI was pleased to support our good friends and neighbors at Armstrong's by donating PVI bags for all the goodies that would be sold and given away at their Customer Appreciation Day!

FIRED UP FOR SAFETY!
VC Fire Chief, Joe Napier, at the PVI booth with Maricruz Avelar (left) and Brooke Dunn for a promotional video.

The Valley Center Fire Protection District held their annual Fire Safety Expo at Bates Nut Farm on October 6th, and PVI was pleased to be a sponsor again this year.

In addition to providing information to attendees, Maricruz and Brooke distributed the fire helmets that they are modeling, which were provided by The Hartford Insurance Company.

Thank you to Maricruz and Brooke, who did a fantastic job of representing PVI (and thus our insurance companies), to our community!

And thank you to the VCFPD for providing this fun and informative event each year for our community!
BROOKE DUNN DOES MORE THAN "PHONE IT IN"

Thanks,  Brooke Dunn, for representing PVI at the office all day, and then volunteering at the "Citizens for Better Fire Protection - Yes on SS 2018" phone bank.

Brooke joined other community-minded individuals, including Kelly Crouthamel (pictured behind Brooke) and VC Firefighers to share information with voters to make sure they are well informed on the issue before voting in November!

NATIONAL COFFEE DAY - GROUNDS TO CELEBRATE!

On Friday, September 28th, PVI held its first annual "National Coffee Day Celebration" with an open invitation to the community to join us for a free drink of their choice, and join us they did!

What a great way to spend a Friday - kicking back with a cup of Joe (mocha, smoothie, latte, etc.) with our friends and neighbors and, of course, making new friends!

Special thanks to Ted Hackleman/Spins Coffee Truck for keeping the drinks flowing and the conversation lively. Also, a big thank you to Lt. Dave Schaller who came early to help promote the event and stayed to visit! And last, but not least, thank you to everyone who stopped by for a few minutes or spent the morning with us! It definitely was a great way to kick-start the weekend!

If you missed it, we look forward to seeing your "mug" at next year's event! In the meantime, there's more grounds to celebrate, such as our 40th anniversary coming up soon! Stay tuned!

It's no longer a mystery who won the Mystery Mocha contest at our National Coffee Day event on September 28th! Congratulations to Stacey Boyer, local realtor!

Brandon Strausbaugh presented the gift certificate for Spins Coffee Truck to Stacey at the weekly Valley Center Real Estate Professionals Caravan meeting. PVI is pleased to sponsor Spins coffee at all their meetings.

Thanks for playing, Stacey, and enjoy taking your gift certificate for a Spins!

NINE "CHIEF" WAYS TO STAY FIRE SAFE

If you live in Valley Center or the surrounding area, you know we tend to think of fire season as in the fall, after a long, hot summer with little or no rain. However, as VC Fire Chief Joe Napier says, "In our area, if it's not raining, it's always fire season."

With that in mind, and since our "traditional" fire season is right around the corner, it's important to be prepared and ready to act if the need arises. To that end, Chief Napier shared the following important nine recommendations to help you stay fire safe: READ MORE
