Realtors Have a Duty to Reply in Writing that an Offer Has Been Presented, and NJ Realtors Has a Form: The Code of Ethics, Standard of Practice 1-7, states, “Upon the written request of a cooperating broker who submits an offer to the listing broker, the listing broker shall provide, as soon as practical, a written affirmation to the cooperating broker stating that the offer has been submitted to the seller/landlord, or a written notification that the seller/landlord has waived the obligation to have the offer presented.” To assist Realtors with this obligation, NJ Realtors has provided a form as a member benefit that’s titled, “Owner's Confirmation of Receipt of Written Offer.“ However, this is not a required form, and Realtors are free to choose the form or manner in which they provide the affirmation in order to comply, e.g., by email, text or other means. NJ.gov: Are People Allowed to Gather in Person (Updated 8/3/2020) Yes, attending a gathering, ceremony, or celebration is permitted as long as the event complies with the following limits on gatherings. Indoor gatherings must be limited to 25 people or 25% of a room's capacity -- whichever number is lower. All attendees at indoor gatherings must wear face coverings and stay six feet apart.

NAR: Rental Agreement Assistance NAR recently joined 12 commercial entities and nonprofit industry trade groups in urging Congress to take meaningful action during the stimulus 4/5 deliberations to protect the housing of millions of American families impacted by the COVID-19.
  • The coalition is also placing a print ad in Politico. With relief provided by the CARES Act successfully helping Americans meet their housing needs, the groups are strongly urging Congress to support similar policies in the next COVID-19 bill to ensure people can remain in their homes while preventing fundamental damage to the rental housing industry. The letter to Congress requests commons sense eviction moratorium procedures and reasonable rental assistance. You can view the letter here.
