You don’t have to be rich to give back. #GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things. #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
GOAL: $50,000 BY YEAR'S END
Help Us Raise the Necessary Funding to Continue Saving Horses’ Lives and Fighting on Behalf of Slaughter-bound and Abused Equines!

While there has been some good progress for horses over the years, including the 2007 closing of the last horse slaughterhouse operating in the U.S., there is a disturbing trend now taking place that is taking this country backwards.
Our government is filled with horse slaughter proponents looking to return this ugly practice to U.S. soil and kill all efforts to finally end the transport of live U.S.-bred equines to Mexico, Canada and other countries for the purpose of slaughter for human consumption. They also want to kill off every last wild horse and burro on our Public Lands to satisfy special interests in the oil & gas, mining, fracking and ranching industries. If we allow them to succeed, these animals will become extinct and gone forever!

Our five latest rescues have such unique and heartbreaking stories and act as ambassadors for differing areas of equine abuse. Rose , Jake , Ceci Divine , Zack and Pedro were all rescued and came to Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary since last December. Please read their moving stories. There are so many more like them who also need rescue and sanctuary.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to save more of them and raise awareness against equine cruelty. Please be generous and show your strong support for our work on behalf of these magnificent animals. We've been advocating for horses for more than 22 years and need your support to continue on for the next 22 and beyond!
Please consider Equine Advocates in your #GivingTuesday donations on November 27 as a kick-off campaign to reach our goal of $50,000 by the end of 2018!

Together we can end horse slaughter and prevent equine abuse!

Ask your employee if they participate in gift matching and simply submit your Donation receipt to your company. If they participate, they will generously match your donation!

Equine Advocates is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) equine protection

to a 140-acre horse sanctuary in Chatham, NY which is home to
80+ rescued horses, ponies, donkeys & mules and
Charlotte, Jakey & Cello, our three adorable goats. We have
a Humane Education Center on the sanctuary grounds
