California Leadership Lines - Sept/Oct 2018
ALUM GATHER AT TWO EVENTS
Orange County
San Francisco
Leadership California (LC) alumnae connected at two recent events, one in Orange County on Sept. 19 and the other in San Francisco on Sept. 26. The San Francisco event was sponsored by Pacific Gas & Electric Company. The events were held to bring alumnae together to connect and strengthen the Leadership California network of 1,600 women throughout the state. Leadership California alumnae serve in leadership roles throughout all sectors in California, as university professors, corporate CEOs, elected officials at the local, state and federal level, non-profit leaders and entrepreneurs. Potential candidates for the 2019 Class also attended the event.

The major feature for both events was a keynote address by Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, author of “The Board Game: How Smart Women Become Corporate Directors.” She walked alumnae through the key steps to secure a corporate board seat and shared the stories of women highlighted in her book. Berkhemer-Credaire is also CEO of the non-profit public awareness campaign, “2020 Women on Boards.”

Leadership California alumnae are derived from LC’s flagship program, California Issues & Trends (CIT ) Program. 2019 CIT recruitment is underway, click here for more information.
