GO GREEN Needham Expo - Inspiration and Ideas for Everyone
Dear ,

The GO GREEN Needham Expo is just 2 weeks away, and we have an exciting program planned! On Saturday, November 10, Green Needham, the League of Women's Voters Needham, and the Needham Department of Public Works will fill Needham Town Hall with fun, insight, and bright ideas on how you can go green in more ways than one - reducing your carbon footprint while putting money in your pocket.

In front of Town Hall and upstairs in Powers Hall, we have over 30 exhibitors organized around the themes of green transportation, the outdoors, taking action, food choices, home energy, and zero waste.

There will be fun and inspiration for everyone:
  • Learn how switching to renewable energy such as solar and geothermal can put money in your pocket
  • Check out and test drive Electric Vehicles
  • Take a ride on an Electric Bike
  • Try the latest higher-powered yet quieter electric lawn mowers and leaf blowers
  • Listen to informative talks on climate change, statewide legislative efforts to address climate change, sustainable landscaping, and more
  • Learn about local outdoor hikes and activities right here in our backyard
  • Talk to organizations who are working towards solutions to the climate crisis
  • Learn sustainable gardening and the benefits of buying local food
And, there a great activities for kids, too, such as making a worm compost farm, racing solar cars, making music out of junk, learning about bike safety, and playing a recycling sorting game.

We will be asking visitors to take at least 5 actions while at the GO GREEN Needham Expo, and those who do will be able to enter a drawing for one of over a dozen door prizes, including landscape design consultation, bike safety equipment, hair salon packages, reusable tumblers and straws, and more.
We welcome everyone, and hope you bring the whole family, and friends. Come find out just how easy, economical, and FUN it is to go green!

Sincerely,
