ANNOUNCEMENTS
MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2018
  • Attention 8th graders: The Arkansas School for Math, Science, and Arts will host a Science and Engineering Institute at the U of A on Sat., Nov. 3 from 9:00 to 12:30.  Admission is free. To learn more or to register, go to tinyurl.com/SEI-Fayetteville.
  • Camp War Eagle is now accepting camper applications for summer 2019 at https://campwareagle.org/myozark.registration! Dec. 15 is the deadline for early enrollment. Students who have met this deadline have a greater chance of placement into a session at Camp War Eagle. Although they continue to accept applications until the end of the school year, students applying after Dec. 15 have a significantly reduced chance of enrollment. If you have any questions or need a paper application, have your student see Ms. Schlabach in the choir room or email erin.schlabach@fayar.net.
Cowboys Play for Conference Title

The Woodland Cowboys will play in the conference championship game Tuesday, October 30 at Fayetteville High School's Harmon Field.

7th grade will take on Hellstern Middle School at 5:30, and 8th grade will play Central Junior High School right after the 7th grade game ends.

Come cheer on the Cowboys!
It's German Week

This week is German Week! Students should keep an eye out in the hallways for colorful, laminated gnomes. If they find one, they can take it to the office and exchange it for a German bar of chocolate.

Each day will have a theme this week.
Monday: soccer jersey/German t-shirt
Tuesday: German flag colors (black, red, yellow)
Wednesday: Hansel & Gretel
Thursday: Germanesque hats (students can get a paper hat from the 8th grade German students in B1)
Friday: Einstein (dress like an absent-minded genius, mismatched)
Lion's Club Peace Poster Contest Winners
Ms. Sanford's art students participated in a Peace Poster Contest sponsored by the Lion's Club. Annie Xu is the first place winner, and Maggie Crouch and Destiny Wentz are runners up. All posters, besides Annie's, are hanging in the library for viewing. Annie's will go on to compete at the district level. All participants did an amazing job!
