TxDOT Public Meeting: State Highway 3 Access Management Study

Houston, TX - Council Member Dave Martin would like to make District E residents aware the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be hosting a public meeting to solicit input on proposed recommendations to improve State Highway (SH) 3 from Brookglen Drive to the Harris/Galveston County line. The meeting will be held Tuesday, September 25 2018, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City of Webster Civic Center, 311 Pennsylvania Avenue, Webster, Texas, 77598.

The SH 3 Access Management Study has identified short, medium, and long-term access improvements to reduce crashes, improve mobility, and support existing and future development, all based on comments received from the public. This meeting provides opportunities to learn about these proposed improvements, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Maps of the study corridor and exhibits will be available at the public meeting. The public is also encouraged to visit the project website to review the project information.  The meeting will have an open house format allowing residents to come and go at their convenience, providing comments at any point. TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions. There is no formal presentation planned at this time.

Written comments may be submitted at the meeting; by mail to the TxDOT Houston District Office, Director of Advanced Transportation Planning, P.O. Box 1386, Houston, Texas 77251-1386; or electronically, by emailing [email protected]. Please reference Project No: 0051-02-104. Written comments must be postmarked or submitted electronically by Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
