                     NAME TAGS

You are encouraged to WEAR A NAME TAG EACH WEEK.  We will have the temporary "stick on" badges available in the Gathering Area.  This is a great way to get to know new folks, put names with faces, and to build a stronger community as we join together as ONE body to worship.  May we continue to be mindful of the importance of staying informed of all the information that has been and will continue to be shared with the congregation during the upcoming weeks and months.

Come and worship as ONE; come and build community as ONE and support the outreach ministries of Epiphany!

Monday Morning Study Group
Understanding Traditions, Building Bridges
Starting Date:  September 17, 2018 and meets weekly thru May
Time: 10:30 AM
Place: Epiphany Community Room
The group gathers at 10:30 each Monday morning, September through May, to engage in conversations about Sunday worship and our lives in community, using worship bulletins, Bibles, and books by wise and good-humored teachers.
Our book this season will be Amy-Jill Levine's The Misunderstood Jew: The Church and the Scandal of the Jewish Jesus  (HarperCollins, 2006). Her challenge: "After two thousand years of ignorance, the time has come for church and synagogue ... to understand our intertwined histories, to see Jesus as a Jew who made sense to other Jews in a Jewish context, to learn how our two traditions came to a parting of the ways, ... and to explore how the gains in interfaith relations made over the last several decades can be nurtured and expanded."
For more information, check with Marilyn Magers, 803-280-0082 or [email protected] . All are welcome! Amazon price of the Levine book is $12.99 + tax for paperback and $1.99 for Kindle edition.   A sample copy of the book is in the Gathering Area, along with information and sign-up sheets. Thank you!!!!

We are in need of Grocery and Gas Gift Cards for our Food Pantry

In addition to the food items which we distribute from our Food Pantry, we also like to keep a supply of grocery store gift cards to give out when there is a need for individuals to have items which we can not keep "in stock" (milk, bread, meats). Cards valued at $10 or $20 are the best as these allow us to help more families.  Also, $10 Gas Cards are very helpful for those who stop at the church for emergency needs.  If you are able to provide grocery or gas cards for our food pantry ministry, please place them in the offering plates on Sunday.  Thank you for helping in this special way.
