Pet Therapy Teams Called into Action
During the month of October, multiple community needs arose, and C.A.T. pet therapy teams were ready to provide assistance. Boca Town Center Mall contacted C.A.T. immediately following a suspected mall shooting, and teams quickly rose to the call - with over 17 therapy dogs deployed the next day. After an investigation, it was determined that there was not an active shooter at the mall.

Canine Assisted Therapy partnered with Brightline for World Mental Health Day. Travelers who visited a South Florida Brightline Station on October 8th and 10th met some therapy pups. Did you know the trains are dog-friendly? Thanks to CBS 12 News and WLRN for highlighting the work of our therapy dog teams.

Thanks to All Who Supported A Magical Affair!

Over 160 guests and sponsors came out to support Canine Assisted Therapy's 10 year anniversary gala presented by special title sponsor Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd!

The Flagship Room was transformed into a magic-themed venue complete with smoking magic potions, magician, tarot card reader and magic-mirror photo station. Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky and MSD parent Lisa Olson were special guest speakers.

Popular live auction items included a ride on the famous Goodyear Blimp, a 7-night
Royal Caribbean European cruise, and an all-inclusive trip to Memphis with accommodations at the Peabody Hotel.

Proceeds tallied nearly $70,000 and will benefit C.A.T.'s ongoing therapy programs. Thanks to the many sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made this event a success!

A very special thank you to our Grand Illusionist Title Sponsor, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. , and our Wizard Sponsors Ernst & Young and the Wayne Berger Family Foundation.

We Do Corporate Stress Relief!
Canine Assisted Therapy provides corporate pet therapy stress relief visits to your workplace. Our therapy dogs enjoy the visits almost as much as the employees!

Some of our newest corporate stress relief locations include Citrix, Miami Edition Hotel, European Wax Center Headquarters and Green Roads - where we were invited to be part of the launch of their pet division!

Considerable research has shown that when people interact with pets, their level of cortisol (the stress hormone) decreases, while endorphins (the happiness hormone) increase, which makes pet therapy in the workplace such a healthy idea.

Lower stress = greater performance and better employee morale!  Contact our office today to set up a workplace visit !
