Join Us for Flagler Section Community Vision Workshop
The City of Coral Gables would like your input at the Community Vision Workshop to guide the evolution of the Flagler Section neighborhood, which is bounded by S.W. Eighth Street and Flagler Street. The workshop will kick off with a Walking Tour on Saturday, February 16, 10 a.m. to noon, at Rotary Park, 592 Ponce de Leon Blvd. On this walking tour participants will be able to discuss the current conditions of the area with the design team. A Hands-on Session continues on Thursday, February 21, 6-9 p.m. at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue. At this session, the public can offer their ideas and vision for the future of this community. In the weeks to follow, the design team will create various scenarios for the neighborhood and will present them to the residents at a later date. For more information, contact 305-460-5211.

Woman's Club Gala to Benefit Dental Clinic for Underprivileged Children
The
Coral Gables Woman's Club is hosting an annual gala to benefit its free children dental clinic. The event takes place this Saturday, February 9, 7 p.m. at 1001-1009 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd. With its Mardi Grass masquerade theme, guests are invited to enjoy a pre-dinner reception, followed by an elegant dinner, entertainment and a silent auction. Last year, the club's clinic treated 599 patients and provided more than $248,000 in free dental services for Miami-Dade County underprivileged children. Read more...

President's Day Schedule
Coral Gables City Hall, the Adult Activity Center and the Passport Office will be closed on Monday, February 18 in observance of President's Day.
Other schedule of services:
- Garbage, trash, and recycling services will not be affected.
- Trolley Service will be operating regular hours from 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
- War Memorial Youth Center will be open for regular hours.
- Salvadore Park Tennis Center and Kerdyk Tennis Center will be open for regular hours from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

The Coral Gables Museum is celebrating the building's 80th anniversary with an interesting presentation about Bringing Orchids to Coral Gables as part of the City's collaboration with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens' Million Orchid Project. A discussion and workshop takes place on Saturday, February 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Museum's Community Center and Courtyard, 285 Aragon Avenue. Traffic Update
The City is currently working on a stripping project on Ponce de Leon Boulevard, from Salamanca Avenue to Ruiz Street and also from SW 8th Street to Flagler St. There will be a minimal impact on traffic. The project is expected to be completed in mid-February.
