Parents' Club
Night at the Races: Saturday, February 9 at 7 PM
Night at the Races is Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 7 PM. (S now date is February 16. Feel free to share this email with your family and friends.)  This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Parents' Club.

There is a meeting for anyone interested in volunteering for this event this Thursday, January 17 at 7 PM in the All Purpose Room.

What is Night at the Races?
Night at the Races is a virtual horse track in our very own school. This audience participatory event recreates the atmosphere of the race track by using top-secret, previously recorded races that allow us to cheer and wager.  There will be a 50/50 and other games of chance.

Ticket Information
Tickets for admission include dinner, beer, wine and soda and cost $30 in advance, $35 at the door. You must be 21 to attend, and the event is open to the public. Click the links below to purchase tickets or a sponsorship.

How Do I Win?
There are two ways to win money from the horses.
  • The first is to "own" a horse. You do this by sending in the form with your horse name, family name, and $5/horse. If your horse wins the race in which it is entered? You win $25! Winnings are not dependent on event attendance (but it's more fun if you are there!)

  • The second is to bet on the horses at the event. Your $2 bet will pay out based on the odds. And how loud you scream for your virtual horse to win. That is totally a thing
Lucky Lotto
Lucky Lotto tickets are $10 each and can be purchased ahead of time. Each ticket has 5 unique, 3-digit numbers ranging from 000-999. The number will be drawn at the event, but the winner does not need to be present. There are only 200 tickets available and 1 guaranteed winner - $1000 cash!

Sponsorships
Still looking for ways to contribute? Sponsor a race for $100! Any individual or company that makes a $100 donation receives:
  • name on the program for the sponsored race
  • name announced at the beginning of the sponsored race
  • a business card sized ad or message on the program.
High roller? Reach out to us to find out what other opportunities can be created for you.

Please contact co-chairs Heather Dotchel ( [email protected] ) or Christina Yost ([email protected]) with any questions. Thank you for your support. We hope to see you there!!
