We're kicking off the new school year with back-to-school fun!
Clarke classrooms incorporate songs, instruments and movement into daily routines. Students had a blast dancing to Justin Timberlake's hit song "Can't Stop the Feeling" performed by Julie Mazzone, speech-language pathologist at Clarke New York.
It was an exciting summer at Clarke with programs at multiple locations!
Clarke Northampton preschoolers celebrated summer with a pirate party and trip to Look Park.
Clarke Philadelphia students had a summer adventure while learning about different aquatic species at Adventure Aquarium.

More than 40 students from across the nation participated in Clarke’s one-of-a-kind Summer Camp in Easthampton, MA.

  • Clarke Family Seeks Cure for Hunter Syndrome: Clarke Philadelphia's Lieber family is sharing their story to raise awareness and fund research for Hunter syndrome. Their son Ethan, a Clarke Philadelphia student, is one of 2,000 boys worldwide that share the diagnosis.
  • Clarke Boston Students Celebrate with Orchard Cove Residents: Clarke Boston launched a special partnership with Orchard Cove, a senior living community with volunteers who are mentoring Clarke students.

Way to Go, Team Clarke!
Clarke was thankful to be a charity partner once again in the  Falmouth Road Race on scenic Cape Cod. Team Clarke runners added meaning to their miles and raised over $7,000 to support Clarke. Congratulations Team Clarke: Michael Tobin, Trish Tobin, Michael Hark and Amanda Hark!
THE PLAYERS Championship Literacy Grant
Clarke Jacksonville families are thrilled to receive a variety of books and materials made possible by the Red Coat Players Grant provided by THE PLAYERS Championship ! Speech-language pathologists at Clarke tailor curriculum to each individual book for home-based auditory verbal therapy sessions.
Technology and Teaching
Join Judy Sexton, director of Clarke Philadelphia, and Jeana Novak, early intervention coordinator at Clarke Philadelphia, at the  5th Annual Teaching & Learning with Technology Summit  on Monday, October 15 at Lehigh University for their presentation on telepractice, offered through Clarke's tVISIT program. Judy and Jeana will explain why teleservice is an effective model for delivering family-centered early intervention for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

Clarke Helps Undergrads Gain Classroom Experience
La Salle University undergraduates taking a Language Development course as part of the university's Speech Program had the opportunity to work more closely with Clarke students for a service project.  

Ling Six Toy Boxes: Making Learning Fun
Clarke Jacksonville colleagues have created and distributed nearly 100 educational "Ling Six Toy Boxes" to families of children with hearing loss thanks to a grant from the Jacksonville Children’s Endowment at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.

Since 1867, Clarke has provided children who are deaf or hard of hearing with the education needed to succeed in a hearing world. We are proud of our history and honor it by evolving to best meet the needs of children and families today though our infant-toddler, virtual tVISIT, preschool, K-8, mainstream and summer programs, as well as through our hearing center, comprehensive educational evaluations and research and professional development.
