International Baccalaureate Learner Profile of the Month
During the month of December we highlighted the IB Learning profile, Communicators . They understand and express ideas and information confidently and creatively in more than one language and in a variety of modes of communication. Principal's Message
Dear Mustang Families,

The end of the 2018 year is rapidly approaching. In reflecting our progress here are some of our accomplishments thus far:



  • Goal to maintain Safety- Volunteer Application and Orientations
  • Established policies and procedures for field trips and extra curricular activities.
  • Focus on Student Engagement- Congratulations to Mrs. Poulin, her class was awarded the Engagement Learner Banner by our Superintendent, Dr. Berman and Principal for the month of November.
  • We are moving towards our goal to increase Attendance to 96%- Ms. Stanley's homeroom students were awarded the A+ Attendance Banner for the month of November.
  • Positive School Climate Committee has been established to address clear student behavior expectations.
  • Increased Parent Involvement- Hosted Coffee with the Principal, Family Friday, Collaborated with our Wonderful PTA. They have had several successful evening events. Held parent conferences, and more activities in the evening to accommodate working parents.
  • Field trip to Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles for Grade 8 students
  • Preschool, Kinder, and 2nd grade Winter Shows, see our websites for dates and times
  • We are excited to announce our new secretary, Lelya Hulse!

Upcoming Events
New Visitor Procedures
The District is implementing a new district wide visitor policy to increase safety throughout the district. A valid government ID will be required to gain entrance at the school beginning January 7, 2019. This system will print a name tag with your name and picture on it. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we roll out this new visitor procedure. For more information please visit our home page.

The SSC is the decision making body for the Single Plan for Student Achievement, Title 1 funding, Site Parent Involvement Policy and Home School Compact

Visitor Policy:
Parents who are scheduled to volunteer on campus are required to sign in at the front office, provide ID, and wear a visitor sticker any time they are on campus. Other adult visitors must make arrangements with the front office to visit our campus. Student visitors are not permitted.
