Qatar and Exxon Mobil Plan $10 Billion Gas Investment in Texas

Nytimes.com, February 5, 2019: Qatar Petroleum and Exxon Mobil said on Tuesday that they are making a big investment in American natural gas exports. The deal is designed in part to strengthen Qatar's ties with the United States nearly two years after Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a trade embargo against the country. The companies said they would spend more than $10 billion to turn Golden Pass, a terminal in Texas originally built to import gas, into an export hub for gas extracted from shale fields in Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere.  Read more...
Lukoil increases gas production in Uzbekistan by 67 pct

Azernews.az, February 7, 2019: Russia's largest gas producer, Lukoil, produced 67 percent more gas in 2018 in Uzbekistan than in 2017. Thanks to the launch of new gas treatment facilities, the production of Kandym and Gissar projects in 2018 increased to 13.4 billion cubic meters, which is 67 percent more than in 2017, noted on the official website of the company. As the company notes, in 2018, Lukoil produced 33.5 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 16 percent more compared to the previous year. The main factor in the growth of gas production is the projects' development in Uzbekistan.  Read more...

Russia's Nordgold to invest over $360m in Guinea mine by 2034

Mining.com, February 7, 2019: Russian miner Nordgold (LON:NORD)  has received a fresh 15-year mining permit for its Lefa mine in Guinea, where it plans to invest more than $360 million to continue developing the asset, one of the country's largest gold producing mines. The new licence, effective from March 21, is valid until 2034, in line with Lefa's current life-of-mine. Nordgold, which spun off of Russian steelmaker Severstal in 2012, acquired the mine in 2010 and has already invested over $1 billion in Guinea, according to  the statementRead more...
Russia-China Trade Up 24.5% To $108.3Bln In 2018 - Russian Customs Service

Urdupoint.com, February 7, 2019: Trade between  Russia  and  China  increased by 24.5 percent in  2018  and totaled $108.3  billion  compared to the year before, the  Russian   Federal  Customs Service said on Thursday. Yamal LNG marks 10M tonne milestone

lngworldshipping.com, February 5, 2019: One of the world's largest LNG export terminals, Novatek's Yamal LNG in the Russian arctic, reports it has shipped 10M tonnes of LNG since its first train opened on 5 December 2017. The cargo was loaded onto Arc7 ice-class tanker Vladimir Vize, one of 15 LNGCs chartered by Russia's Novatek to transport LNG across the Northern Sea Route to Asia in the summer and west to Europe all year long without the aid of an icebreaker.  Read more...
Russian Oil Export Revenues In 2018 Up 38% To $129Bln - Customs Agency

Hellenicshippingnews.com, February 7, 2019: Russia exported 260.2 million tonnes of oil worth $129 billion in 2018, up 38.2 percent from the year before, figures published by the Federal customs agency showed. Oil exports climbed 2.9 percent in 2018. Meanwhile, sales of petroleum products grew 1.1 percent, reaching 150 million tonnes, or an increase of 34.1 percent in value terms to $78.1 billion from 2017.  Read more...
CONCOR signs MoU with Russian rail company to jointly develop multimodal logistics services along INSTC route

Steelguru.com, February 7, 2019: The Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), a Navratna company under the Ministry of Railways and a market leader in container operations and multimodal logistics services in India, and JSC RZD Logistics (RZDL), a Russian rail company, have agreed to jointly develop multimodal logistics services along the International North South Transport Corridor (INSTC) route. JSC RZD Logistics is the biggest multimodal logistics operator in the CIS and Baltic countries, highlighted a release.  Read more...

South Korea hikes Russian thermal coal imports

Argusmedia.com, February 5, 2019: South Korea's imports of Russian thermal coal rose by 12pc on the year to 20.9mn t last year, customs data show. Importers prioritised Russian coal with low-sulphur content as the aimed to cut emissions. And thermal coal imports from Russia are expected to keep rising this year, with Seoul to keep tight limits on coal sulphur content, market participants say. Imports of Russian thermal coal rose particularly sharply in August-November, when receipts of low-sulphur material grew after the limits on high-sulphur imports came into effect. Mongolia-Russia trade up almost 40 pct in 2018

Xinhuanet.com, February 5, 2019: Trade turnover between Mongolia and Russia in 2018 rose by 39.8 percent year-on-year, reaching 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, the Mongolian Customs General Administration said Tuesday. The agency said that Mongolia managed to increase the supply of agricultural and mineral products to Russia, which was part of the reason for the increase in bilateral trade.  Read more...

Russia, Turkmenistan exploring opportunities for co-op in energy field

Russian minister of economic development to visit Azerbaijan

Azernews.az, February 7, 2019: Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin will visit Azerbaijan on February 8, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy told Trend. During the visit, the Azerbaijani and Russian delegations will review the reconstruction of the Yarag-Kazmalar checkpoint, the Samur checkpoint, as well as the construction of an automobile bridge across the Samur river. "These projects are important for realization of Azerbaijan's transport and transit potential, as well as the creation of favorable conditions for further expansion of cooperation and trade between the two countries," the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy said.  Read more...
Belarus named Russia's fourth largest trading partner in 2018

Eng.belta.by, February 6, 2019: Belarus remains Russia's fourth largest trading partner in the world and first in the CIS, read the statistical data on Russian foreign trade in 2018 released by the Russian Federal Customs Service, BelTA has learned. According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, the Belarusian-Russian trade totaled $35,686.2 billion in 2018, which was up 10.8% as against 2017.  Read more...

Экспорт российского софта превысил $10 млрд в 2018 году

Neftegaz.ru, 6 февраля, 2019: Доходы России от экспорта нефти в 2018 г. выросли на 38,2% в годовом сравнении ( YoY) и составили 129,05 млрд долл США. Эти данные приведены в статистике Федеральной таможенной службы ( ФТС), опубликованной 6 февраля 2019 г. Общий объем экспорта нефти за 2018 г. вырос на 2,9% - до 260,2 млн т. В декабре 2018 г. Россия к 2024 году более чем в 2 раза увеличит экспорт сладостей

Finmarket.ru, 4 февраля, 2019: Россия к 2024 году увеличит экспорт кондитерских изделий по сравнению с 2018 годом более чем в 2 раза - до $2,4 млрд, прогнозируют в Минсельхозе.Перспективы поставок сладостей были обсуждены на совещании, в котором приняли участие ведущие производители и отраслевые союзы, сообщает министерство. На нем было отмечено, что отечественная кондитерская промышленность демонстрирует устойчивые темпы роста. В прошлом году экспорт превысил $1,1 млрд против $1 млрд в 2017 году. Tida.tatarstan.ru, 4 февраля, 2019: В Казани состоялось торжественное открытие объекта с предоставленной арендой земли без торгов по распоряжению Президента Республики Татарстан Рустама Минниханова. С 2016 года в Республике Татарстан для размещения объектов социально-культурного, коммунально-бытового назначения, а также для реализации масштабных инвестиционных проектов предоставляются земельные участки в аренду без торгов. Это отражено в Статье 33.3 Земельного кодекса Республики Татарстан.
