The following item was presented to the Board:
Finance Report
As of January 31, 2018 the Board learned the system is at 58.91  percent for the budget year. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues for December 2018 were up 3.59 percent from 2018 collections and up 15.89 percent from last month. A financial statement, investment reports, and bond summaries were also shared, as well as a detailed capital projects analysis. 


 

Highlight of
Action Items
The following item was approved:

Naming Middle School #11: The Board approved by unanimous vote naming Middle School #11 the Donald F. Hendricks Middle School.  Don Hendricks was a community leader and former Board of Education member who was instrumental in the foundation of excellence for Forsyth County Schools today.

Bus Air Conditioning Retrofit - 
The Board approved by unanimous vote Yancy Bus Sales to retro-fit 262 existing buses with air conditioning.  This project is the fulfillment of one of the primary initiatives of the most recent Bond and as such, provides an opportunity to enhance the quality of  the transportation experience of students and other stakeholders who utilize the FCS bus fleet.
