Third Quarter Mid-Term Grades Available Feb. 27
Your child's third quarter mid-term grades will be available online Wednesday, Feb. 27 after 5 p.m. Go to www.mystudentdata.com and enter the following information:
  • School code: 50
  • Student ID Number: The ID number is the 10-digit number under the photo of their student ID. Please call the office if you cannot locate the student ID number.
  • Student's birth date
  • Password: Chargers
If you have questions about your child's grades, please contact the teacher by phone (989-790-1676) or by email. Teacher email addresses are available on the school website: www.vlhs.com

Please remember that grades can only be accessed if tuition payments are current. If you have any problems, please contact the office at 989-790-1676.
VLHS Benefit Dinner & Auction! Theme: Fabulous Fifties
We are thankful that tickets are SOLD OUT for this event Saturday, Feb. 23. Items for teacher baskets need to be in by this Friday. Thank you for your support! Your student should know what their 8th hour basket is.
Registration Open For Incoming Freshmen
Registration is now open for incoming freshmen for the 2019-20 school year. Once registration is received, scheduling classes can take place. To schedule a visit, a shadowing experience, or for more information, contact Sondra Yantz at [email protected] or call the office at 989-790-1676.

Information on registration for returning students will be released soon.
Parents in Prayer Meets 
The next Parents in Prayer meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 25 at the high school. Please send any requests to [email protected]
ZAPS SAT Test-Prep Seminar
Valley Lutheran is hosting an SAT test prep seminar on Saturday, March 9 from 9am to 3pm. Juniors should have received a mailing with details. To register, go to www.doorwaytocollege.com or call 877-927-8378. 
Next Open House is March 17
The next Valley Lutheran Open House is scheduled for 2-3pm Sunday, March 17. Talk with students, teachers and administrators, tour the building, and have your questions answered.
Saginaw Antique Society Show April 6
The Parent Organization will host the annual Saginaw Antique Society Show from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, April 6 at Valley Lutheran. There is a $4 admission fee that covers two free appraisals.

Luncheon available 11am-1:30pm.

Parent help is needed. Please watch for a sign-up for this event.  This is a great fundraiser for the Parent Organization as we get a portion of admission and lunch proceeds.
Guidance Corner
DELTA COLLEGE DUAL ENROLLMENT
Delta College's Dual Enrollment program offers an early enrollment opportunity for next school year that closes this Friday. This early enrollment gives Dual Enrollment students priority registration. If you are certain you would like to take a course through Delta College next year, see Mrs. Mueller by Thursday, February 21. If you are still deciding, there will be opportunities later in the spring to register for Delta College courses next year.

SCC OPEN HOUSE
The Open House for SCC originally scheduled for early February has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 27th from 5-7pm. Any student interested in attending SCC as a junior or senior should plan to attend. Students interested in attending a career-tech program should also plan to meet with Mrs. Mueller to discuss curriculum, courses, and graduation requirements.

MI COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP
Any current senior who has achieved a score of 1200 or higher on the SAT qualifies for the $1000 MI Competitive Scholarship. In order to qualify for these funds, students must have filed their FAFSA by March 1, 2019, as well as have their SSN on file with the MI Student Aid office. Melting Medical Bills
Melting Medical Bills is a fundraising event planned for Sunday, Feb. 24 from 11am until 2pm at St. John Amelith Lutheran School, 1664 Amelith Rd., Bay City, in the gym. A soup and sandwich bar will be offered along with a bake sale, silent auction, and small-item ticket auction.

This event is to support Allie Keenan and her family with rising medical costs. Please contact Mary Smith at [email protected] or Sandy Soule at [email protected] for questions or to volunteer.
Free for those in need
Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock, is open the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10am until 1pm with free used clothing, household items, and food for those in need. Contact the church at 989-642-5909 or Paul Bohn at 989-642-8489 with any questions.
