Everyday David sees shower doors that need some help.  now he as found something that anyone can use and it works! (the hard water spots must be removed before the treatment can be applied.)

The Wipe-n-seal packet system is a revolutionary new single use professional sealing system for granite and glass.  No need to spend hundreds of dollars on quarts of sealer that will succumb to the dreaded shelf life and have to be throw away.  This two step sealing system is all you need, This five pack contains 5-step1 and 5-step 2 packets.

We know Summer is going away quickly.  Some of the new pools people have are Salt Water Pools, yes it's much better for you but not your stone or the precast cooping around the pool.  The salt water eats away at the surface of all natural stones.  The good news is there are sealers that will greatly slow this process down.  The damage is done but there is now something that can help.  (I know, I know nobody told you when you installed it.)

A new fad is large format tiles.  The good thing is there is not as much grout lines but you really need to have a med bed mortar (thin set) used for this or a 2 hour quick set for better hydration.  In a large format tile latex modified may not dry and cannot properly hydrate and allow the moisture to fully evaporate thus allowing for spalling or the grout to turn much lighter shade of color or just blotchy.

For a better understanding Greg Mowat with Forensic Tile Consultants has a great article.  Greg has been doing consulting and expert witness since I was in high school and he is one of the best Stone ad Tile consultants in the United states
