Conferences are TOMORROW
Our next parent-teacher-student conference date is Thursday, February 7 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.

We often get questions about February conference sign ups and who should attend. Anyone is certainly welcome to sign up, although we would encourage families whose students are struggling, on the border of passing, etc. to take advantage. For all conferences, we encourage students to attend and be part of the conversation. If your child is doing well and you don't feel the need to meet in person that is perfectly okay. You are always welcome to email the teachers throughout the year with any questions or concerns.
Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration will be held today beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending with Benediction at 2:45 p.m. Parents can park in the visitor spots and then come in to spend a holy hour with Our Lord. Students and faculty are also invited to come to the chapel during lunchtime, study hall or Theology class.
Celebrate Valentine's Day Early
at Our Internet Safety for Parents Meeting
Wednesday, February 13

If you had to sum up your child’s online reputation into a sentence, what would it be? Do you even know?

We love our students, families and BWHS community enough to offer this important presentation for PARENTS only (no children of any age, please). We encourage all parents to take this opportunity to learn more about how to keep your children safe on the internet.

Juniors Take ACT on February 20
On Wednesday, February 20 our juniors will take the ACT exam (no writing) while freshmen, sophomores and seniors will not have school
that day.
Juniors will arrive at the normal time and will be dismissed at approximately 12:30 p.m. Anyone arriving after the exam has begun will not be permitted to test that day, per ACT guidelines.

FAQs for Junior Parents

Does my student need to register for the Feb. 20 ACT exam?
No. Registration through the State of Ohio is underway by Bishop Watterson on behalf of the students.
On the day of testing, students will complete the pre-test survey and
state-mandated questions.

Is there a cost to take this ACT?
There is no cost or outside registration for this exam as it is state mandated.
Can results of the state-mandated ACT be sent directly to colleges?
Students will have the opportunity to select up to four colleges to receive the results. The pre-test booklet they receive that morning will list all colleges with their codes.

When will we receive the results?
Students will be notified via the email address provided in registration when their test results are available. Our observation has been that the state-mandated ACT test results take slightly longer to receive than a regular ACT test date.

Seventy-five seniors will be randomly selected to take the two-hour assessment on Thursday, February 21. The NAEP is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what students in public and private schools know and can do. Students do not need to prepare and they will be permitted to make up work from missed classes. The assessment is for statistical purposes only.
