Program Updates
REFIT ® IS NOW TOTAL BODY FITNESS!

Join Debbi Ware and strengthen, tone and improve flexibility for better health and fitness in this fun and personally challenging group fitness class. Resistance bands and your own body weight will be used as we complete a variety of high repetition exercises. Designed to be safe for all ages and abilities, yet effective in making you stronger, fitter, and healthier! Free!

Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. All ages are welcome. See you soon!
Try Qi Gong!

Qi Gong combines breathing, posture, and slow, careful movements to create a quiet, calm fitness class. 

Wednesdays, 2:00-3:30 pm
Class fee: $6.00

KidStage Returns!

The afterschool theater class that brought "The Jungle Book" to life last fall is back! This spring, students will learn theater terminology, memorize lines, and help with costumes and props for the final play that they will perform, "Alice in Wonderland"!
The class will meet and perform in the Tryon Elementary School auditorium.  
There will be 12 class sessions, February 27 - May 22 (no class on April 17), from 3:30-4:30 pm
$10/class for the first sibling ($110 total)
$8/class for the second sibling ($88 total)
The first class is free!

Family Dance Party

Join us at Saluda Library on WednesdayFebruary 13, or  Columbus Library  on  Tuesday February 26  or  at  10:30 am , for our next  Family Dance Parties ! Aimed at our youngest community members (ages 5 and under) and their parents & guardians, this hour of fun will include stories, music, dancing, and musical games! Dance parties will be at Saluda Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and at Columbus Library on the 4th Tuesday of each month.
PEAK and ecoEXPLORE
Our Junior Adventurers have been taking pictures of wildlife and sharing them with the North Carolina Arboretum, as well as conducting schoolground clean-ups!
Our Garden Guardians are creating decorations for their gardens and assessing the habitat for wildlife needs.

We're having fun with our homeschoolers!

Meet-ups are   at Stearns Gym  and are free. Exercises and games are adapted for the group that is present.

Tuesday afternoons  for ages 5 and up: 1 pm - 3 pm
Thursday mornings for ages 5 and under: 9 am - 10:30 am

February 5 & 7,  February 12 & 14: Volleyball
February 19 & 21, February 26 & 28: Baseball/Softball
March 5 & 7: Teambuilding Challenges

Sports Updates
Basketball is almost over!

With 216 players, it has been a great season for basketball! The end-of-season tournaments are this month; don't miss any of the action! Stay tuned for the full Season Wrap-Up in our March Newsletter.

Youth Girls Volleyball Update

Registration for the 2019 Spring Volleyball Season has been extended until Friday, February 8!!! 
Teams will be picked the week of Feb 11, and coaches will begin practicing shortly after that. Games will begin in late February. We are looking forward to another great season!

Youth Baseball/Softball Update

Registration for the 2019 Spring Baseball/Softball season is open! The cost to register is $70 per player, and sign-ups will remain open until February 15.
NEW THIS YEAR: WEEBALL, FOR 3 AND 4 YEAR-OLDS!
Weeball registration is $35 per player

Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of this exciting season!

Spring Soccer Registration is Now Open!

The cost to register is $40 per player, and registration will remain open until Friday, March 2nd.

February Trail Work Days:
Saturday, Feb. 9, 9 am - 12 pm @ ICC/Tom Raymond Loop
Thursday, Feb. 14, 9 am - 12 pm @ Rec Complex
Thursday, Feb. 28, 9 am -12 pm @ TBD
