how long do nuts last?". Nuts are a healthy protein snack choice because they are high in unsaturated fats that help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise the good cholesterol (HDL). The
shelf life of nuts depends on a variety of factors, such as the
best by date, the type of nut and how they are stored. Each variety of bears its own distinctive flavor and qualities.
So, how long do nuts last? When properly stored,
the shelf life of nuts past their printed sell by date can be found on this table. Keep in mind when you buy nuts in the grocery store, they have a printed best buy date because they were likely processed from the farm they came from 6-12 months ago, and if they were roasted it was likely 3+ months ago. At We Are Nuts,
we do not have a printed fresh by date because ours are fresher than anywhere else you can get nuts. Our nuts come to us each October from around the world where they are harvested. We roast fresh daily ensuring that they get to you as fresh as can be! Stock up in our last week so you have enough to last you until we reopen in October 2017!
How to tell if nuts are bad, rotten or spoiled?
Although not a perfect test, your nose is usually the most reliable instrument to tell if your nuts have gone bad.
