Valentine Card Donation Drive and
Valentine Goody Bags

This year's Cat Valentine Donation Drive is off to a great start with quite a few of our cats sponsored already. You can donate for the cat valentine of your choice with a $25 contribution. The drive goes all month long, and we really want each of our kitties to have their cards sponsored. The valentines will be displayed in the shelter with your name on the back, and we will mail the valentines to you after the drive. Thank you for your support!
You can donate for the cat valentines at the shelter,
on our Facebook page.
We also have these delightful Valentine Goody Bags for sale in the shelter. You can purchase this fun basket for $20. Surprise your furry valentine on February 14th with one of these!

Denver Cycle Sluts
Friday, March 8
Bingo Fundraiser
|
This was a terrific event last year, and we are so pleased to have been selected again as one of the charities featured by the Denver Cycle Sluts. It was a sell-out in 2018....let's do it again this year!
Come join the Denver Cycle Sluts for a fun evening of bingo supporting the Cat Care Society! Denver Cycle Sluts are an LGBTQ friendly drag comedy troupe dedicated to supporting Denver area community charities.
When: March 8, 2019 Games start at 8pm, Seating begins at 6:30pm
Where: Dulce Vida 1201 Cherokee St. Denver, 80204
What to bring: $$$ $10 to play 8 games, plus chance drawing tickets $1.00 each for gift basket
This is a fundraiser. Between games performers will sing, dance, and collect donations for CCS. Bring dollar bills to tip the performers. All tips are collected by Denver Cycle Sluts and presented for donation to the selected charity. Performers also sell raffle tickets for a gift basket provided by the Cat Care Society. This is a fun evening of bawdy entertainment. This is not your grandmother's bingo, so get ready for catty comments and hilarity!

Nonie is a very special kitty. He was transferred to us from another shelter because they did not have the ability to take care of his needs. Nonie is diabetic, and on insulin injections twice a day. He is on a wet food only diet and needs prescription diabetic food. Because of that and his age (13), he is on our Perpet-U-Care program. Nonie is super sweet, affectionate, and loves attention. This little guy would like to be the only cat in the house as he doesn't always like to share his people. He's very mellow and loves to supervise everyone and everything. That's why he was chosen for manager of our Meow Mart while he's waiting for his forever home.
You can read more about Nonie here:

We had 56 adoptions for the month of January.... 30 adults and teens, and 26 kittens. Because we placed so many cats in December and January, we were able to bring 74 new cats into our care. Several of these are temporary care cats whom we are caring for while their families cope with difficulties.
We're especially happy for two kitties finding homes....Mrs. Nesbitt, a senior lady with kidney disease, and one of our favorite boys, Murtaugh, a 12 year old with urinary disease.
One of our new cats is Colonel Mustard. He has a fractured pelvis, and is currently on a six week stretch of cage rest /restricted activity. After that we will recheck his x-rays. Once his fractures have healed enough, we will do two more procedures, and then he will be available for adoption.
