Worship This Weekend
FCC Stained Glass

This week's installment of our Stories That Matter sermon series explores Luke 10:38-42, and is called, "The One Thing Needful."  Rev. Jim Warren will preach at both the 9:00 traditional and 10:15 progressive One and All services.  About the sermon, Jim says, "Jesus goes to Martha's and Mary's home, where Martha busies herself in household tasks. Mary sits at Jesus' feet learning from him. Martha complains that Mary isn't helping, but Jesus says that Mary has chosen the better part. Which is it? Being active like Martha or prayerful like Mary?"

For the 9:00 service the chancel choir is preparing a beautiful gift of music. After that service, gather with friends, old and new, in the Centrum for donut holes and cofffee.  At 10:15, you can enjoy a complimentary light breakfast in Fellowship Hall while you worship and sing along with the One and All Band.

This Sunday and next, we will collect the Week of Compassion offering.  A short video about the important work this Disciples of Christ group does will be presented at both services.

"The One Thing Needful"
Jesus goes to Martha's and Mary's home,   where Martha busies herself in household tasks. Mary sits at Jesus' feet learning from Him. Martha complains Mary isn't helping, but Jesus says Mary has chosen the better part. Which is it? Being active like Martha or prayerful like Mary?
