We Make YOUR Travel Plans EASY
Hats off to all of you enduring lots of nasty weather. Too much rain on the west coast, too much snow and ice on the east coast makes travel and getting around pretty tough for all of you especially if you're a wheelchair user. Lots of snow in the middle of the country and the Northwest as well. Hope you were all still able to enjoy a lovely Valentines Day celebration with your loved ones. Steve and I barbequed steaks as we had a brief interlude of 70 degree weather. They were delicious but it was back in the 30's the next day.

Hang in there everybody and dream of warm, beautiful places. It's the perfect time to start planning your next vacation while you are waiting for the weather to change!

SOUTH AFRICA 2019 IS NOW OPEN FOR RESERVATIONS!
Depart USA October 11 and return October 26, 2019

Please visit our website and click on Group Trips for itinerary and pricing.

Please note that we have only 4 accessible rooms still available. Only 12 lucky travelers will get the opportunity to be on this trip! Our preference is that everyone travel with a companion.
We also request that everyone travel with your own mobility equipment as we will not be renting equipment. (we may assist you with rentals on a case by case situation).

We are looking into other trip possibilities for 2020 and welcome your suggestions. The deciding factors for group trips are the availability of accessible accommodations and transportation.

Harmony of The Seas Cruise 2019
beach-ball.jpg
Thirty nine of us recently returned from a wonderful week onboard RCCL's Harmony of The Seas. We enjoyed visiting Jamaica and Cozumel and relaxed on the private island of Labadee.

The weather was perfect except for rain in Jamaica but we didn't let it rain on our parade. Those of us who took the Cozumel shore excursion got to taste all kinds of tequila and chocolate.

We had many of our Spina Bifida clients sailing with us and several of them either recently celebrated or will celebrate their 40th birthdays this year. So we made it a Celebration Cruise with candy, birthday hats, horns and a yummy birthday cake. Many who participated on this cruise have already signed up for our next Caribbean adventure on Symphony of The Seas, February 22, 2020.

Our cruises and land trips are like big, happy reunions as we get so many repeat travelers. I'm so grateful for all the friendships that have developed among all of you.
Virgin Voyages Now Open for Reservations
Sir Richard Branson's newest venture, Virgin Voyages, is now open for reservations and will begin sailing to Cuba and the Bahamas in April 2020. I attended a luncheon recently to learn about the newest cruise line in the business.

As we all know, Virgin products are always very well anticipated and received by the public. I was very impressed with all I learned and look forward to possibly seeing their ship, Scarlet Lady, on one of her short industry sailings next year. Guests must be 18 or older to sail and are referred to as "sailors" not passengers. You will not find a buffet anywhere on Scarlet Lady but you will be able to dine at 20 different venues for no additional cost. Gratuities are always included in the price. Beverage packages are not available for sale...all alcoholic beverages are purchased on a drink by drink basis.

The ship's capacity is approximately 2700 - 2800 sailors. The initial itinerary will be 5 night cruises round trip Miami sailing to Cuba and a private island in Bimini, Bahamas. They have 29 accessible cabins available in most categories from inside to suites. Virgin Voyages promises to be "outside the box" and will bring a whole new dimension to cruising. They hope to get many first time cruisers who have been reluctant to cruise in the past. I think they just may accomplish this! Be the first "kid on the block" to sail on Virgin Voyages. Just call me and I'll make it happen!

Scooter, Wheelchair & Walker Bags
I've become very familiar with HMS Medallion, maker of fun and stylish bags that attach to walkers, scooters and wheelchairs. Being a user of all of this equipment, having a bag that I don't have to carry or worry about falling off my lap is very important. I learned about this company at Abilities Expo where they are a fellow vendor. Being the avid shopper I am, I just had to have one of these lovely bags! I now own two but have bought several for gifts.
