A February tradition at Seminary of the Southwest, this year’s Black History Month events will focus on the theme “400 Years Later: The Enduring Legacy of Slavery in America.” You are invited as the Seminary of the Southwest honors the legacy of African-Americans in the U.S. and confront the future of race in the country and the church. All events are free and open to the public. UTMB's Sealy Center on Aging has partnered with Camp Allen to create an engaging program that encourages older adults to embrace aging as a spiritual journey and to live the gift of years to the fullest. Learn from geriatricians; enjoy nature walks, cooking, canoeing and more. The conference will take place March 4-6 at Camp Allen. Register before February 11 and receive early bird rate.

The retreat will take place March 1-3.The theme is #FAM Faith, Action, Making Connections and is centered around family—our personal family and our Godly family. The exciting theme for this year's Jr. High retreat is Survivor. Registration is limited. This retreat will provide a safe haven for 6th-8th grade students to ask how to survive this crazy thing called life and develop friendships in the process. Registration is now open for the next Discovery Retreat at Camp Allen. The Discovery Retreat is a wonderful weekend opportunity to begin the work of discerning one's call to serve God in his church, community, and the world. The retreat is open to all in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Participation is required for those discerning a call to ordained ministry (deacon or priest). The retreat will take place Friday, March 15-17. Sign up here .
