AMTA-MD Chapter - Call for 2019 Candidates


Are you ready to get more involved in your  
industry and join the AMTA-MD Chapter team?
 
You will make new friends, have fun, and make a difference

  • Submit Candidate Biography or Resume detailing:
    • Position you are seeking
    • Your qualifications for the position
    • Please be sure you meet the requirements below and the position specific requirements in the links above
  • A Personal Statement that will be shared with membership, please answer the following questions:
    • Why are you seeking this position?
    • What are your qualifications, strengths, talents, skills and/or abilities for this position?
    • What is your volunteer experience within AMTA or otherwise?
       
  • A photo of yourself which will be shared with membership along with your written personal statement

  • Please submit everything via email no later than February 20, 2019 to Chelsea Adams-Cook.
Requirements:
  • Be a professional member in good standing (student members are welcome to serve on committees)
  • Sign and submit the Chapter Volunteer Code of Conduct by following the link
  • Have computer skills and access and telephone access for chapter business
     
Expectations:
  • Attend the Annual Meeting over the weekend of March 30-31, 2019
  • If elected, attend the board member training in May
  • All Board Members and Delegates are expected to participate in regular conference calls or video conferences and serve on one committee
  • Delegates are expected to actively participate in the Online AMTA Hub and attend the Delegate Meeting at the National Convention on Wednesday October 23, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Travel and lodging expenses are covered for the meeting. A limited reimbursement fund is available to offset some of the additional expense if delegate wants to stay for the full convention. Reimbursement is available after delegate provides documentation that they fully participated by attending events and classes.
  • One new Board Member may choose to attend CVOP - Chapter Volunteer Orientation Program at the National Convention on Monday and Tuesday October 21-22, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Travel and lodging expenses are covered for attending CVOP. A limited reimbursement fund is available to offset some of the additional expense if delegate wants to stay for the full convention. Reimbursement is available after board member provides documentation that they fully participated by attending events and classes.

sports2019 Online Election Process

AMTA uses an outside vendor, Simply Voting, to conduct the online elections.  Upon receipt, candidate resumes will be reviewed for eligibility and will be submitted along with a provided photo or video to the vendor.  The vendor will create a ballot and post candidate information. As soon as voting opens, you will be notified by email.
