Request for Oklahoma State University AIAS

AIA Central Oklahoma Firms:

My name is Scott Cornelius, I am the Vice President of the Oklahoma State University chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students. AIAS OSU is seeking growth in activity at the national level as one of our main goals for this year. Our chapter has grown and developed immensely in recent years, and it is the view of our Executive Board that we as a chapter can benefit AIAS on a national level. Forum is the national AIAS conference at which students network, learn, participate in national AIAS and elect leaders for the coming year. In the interest of helping to better AIAS at a national level I myself will be running for the position of 2019-2020 South Quad Director, a position which oversees all chapters in the southern area of the country along with Mexico and Puerto Rico.

This year Forum will be held in Seattle, Washington, from December 29th- January 1st. We have more students interested in attending Forum than we have ever had before; 17 students. Obviously we would love to take them all (and I would love to have them there to support me in the elections), but our chapter alone does not have the funds necessary to assist every student sufficiently. For this reason I am searching for organizations and individuals who  would be willing to contribute to our fundraising efforts for Forum. Any amount you would be willing to give would make a great impact on our students and chapter. If you would like to make a contribution please contact me at scott.cornelius@okstate.edu or call me at (806) 681-1870.

Thank you for your consideration,
Scott Cornelius
