CURE Class Projects Moving Foward
|
In the Fall of 2018, Dr. Lisa Porter taught a third year Cancer Undergrad Research Education (CURE) course. At the end of the term, students submitted their final projects that are now beginning to be rolled out in the following ways:
- Publishing the children's book The C-word
- Implementation of a WCRG Youtube Channel - Be sure to subscribe!
- 2 Service Learning Course Projects
- New logo and banner design
- Think Tank Re-boot, including a new virtual App
- Collaboration with Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Program to create new patient materials, including an information book for pediatrics
- Development of a new CURE workshop for upcoming Let's Talk Cancer event

The first snapdshot of 2019 features Dr. Arezoo Emadi. WCRG Researcher snapdshots are found in the print edition of snapd Windsor and shared through various newsletters and announcements. The goal of these "Snapdshots" is to raise awareness about the cancer research conducted in Windsor-Essex and stimulate new research collaborations. To see previous snapdshots click here. Coming this spring, Think Tanks will have a new look, new format and new collaborations but they will still be focused on
bringing people together to elevate research ideas and grant submissions.
Think Tanks will
run from 1:30 - 4:00 pm and alternate between the University of Windsor and Windsor Regional Hospital.
Mark your calendars and don't miss them!
