Congratulations NSI Crankshaft!
NSI Crankshaft, located at 1815 E. Sandusky St. Fostoria, OH 44830, is proud to announce that they have been awarded a new contract from a leader in the outboard marine engine market. NSI Crankshaft has begun preparations for this new V8 crankshaft program, which will involve hiring approximately 17 new employees, both salary and hourly, along with new machinery investments of nearly $5 million dollars.
The program is scheduled to start production in June of 2019.
We are proud to have NSI doing business in our community and are excited about their continued success, growth and investment in Fostoria.

North Central Electric Cooperative
and Buckeye Power provided funding for the Fostoria Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) to clear trees from a wooded four-acre parcel in the city’s industrial park, in hopes the land can be developed for another manufacturing facility.
With a Site and Community Assistance matching grant from Buckeye Power, North Central’s wholesale power supplier, the cooperative will pay FEDC $10,410 to clear the parcel so the property can be developed.
This was also featured in the November Ohio Cooperative Living magazine.

The Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to highlight
The Fostoria Kiwanis Club.
The Fostoria Kiwanis Club is a service organization that has worked to change the world one child and one community at a time in Fostoria since 1928.
The Fostoria Kiwanis Club actively supports our community through school shoe programs, childhood literacy and book drives, scholarships, National Day of Prayer, Highway Clean Up and hosting a New Educator’s luncheon.
We invite you to learn more about the Fostoria Kiwanis Club by attending a meeting, making a donation or coming to their annual fundraiser, Pancake Day. This year Pancake Day is Thursday, March 7 at the St. Wendelin Parish Life Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The club will once again be serving delicious pancakes, made with Mennel Flour, and sausages. The club meets Tuesdays at noon in the lower level of Good Shepherd home where guests are welcome!

Fit N Dance Shakin' it with Shelly
is located at 210 S. Main Street in Fostoria and is owned by Shelly Thomas.
Fit N Dance Shakin' it with Shelly
opened the South Main Street location in May 2018 after Shelly's hobby grew into a full fledged business.
Fit N Dance Shakin' it with Shelly
is a fitness studio offering many different fitness class options in a positive, encouraging environment. Fit N Dance is instructed by owner, Shelly Thomas, and is a high intensity class that combines Shelly's love of dance and a calorie burning, body toning, fun and motivating workout. Also offered at Fit N Dance Shakin' it with Shelly is Fierce Fit Drumming with instructor, Courtney Miller, Body Burn Boxercise, Strengthen Body Sculpting and Toning and Circuit Training, with instructor Michael Shearn and Karate and Kickboxing with instructor Len Yaworski. All instructors are certified and offer classes Monday through Thursday as well as on Saturday and Sunday.
Shelly's love of dance led her to join Dance2Fit with Jessica Bass which inspired her to work towards her own instructor certification. Shelly then began offering her class, Fit N Dance, in November of 2017 at the American Legion and the local Moose. Her Fit N Dance classes grew and she knew she needed her own, larger space. In May of 2018,

began at 210 S. Main Street and her classes and class offerings continue to grow.
Shelly has lived in Fostoria her entire life which is why she wanted to keep her business here and offer the community a positive and encouraging place for people of all age and fitness levels.

The therapy gym has been expanded by 960 square feet, making this state-of-the-art gym a total of 1,725 square feet. This expansion also includes a separate entrance for outpatient services. Another exciting component of the expansion project is the offering of a new service, Assisted Living. The Assisted Living neighborhood includes accommodations of 7 one-bedroom apartments and 1 studio apartment, all with kitchenettes. The neighborhood also features a community dining room, lounge area for socialization and relaxation, nurse’s area, residential washer and dryer, and spa. The project is slated to be completed in March of 2019.
