Where has the time gone?
Last October, we celebrated National Massage Therapy Awareness Week in Columbia at a fun party with pizza and root beer floats! Such a blast!
Then it was Thanksgiving and Christmas and here we are ... busy planning our 60th Annual Convention and we can't wait to see you there! We are putting together a Welcoming Committee to help convention attendees navigate the Lodge. (It's a big place!) I'll be calling some of you to see if you'd be interested in helping with that! If you are interested, but don't receive my phone call, CALL ME FIRST! :)
We are also looking for some help in keeping our newsletters and website up-to-date. If you have thought about serving on our board of directors with us, but just can't quite commit to our face-to-face meetings, this would be a great way to get involved. There's always a slight learning curve, but if you catch on quickly (and aren't afraid of technology!), I'd love to talk with you!
Looking forward to seeing you!

Kelly Lott's Migraine Miracle®
is divinely linked to my mother. Shortly after she passed away, I was watching a news story about an esthetician who was treating a migraine client using cold gel packs. The problem with gel packs is that they do not stay cold enough long enough to relieve the pounding pain. I remarked to my husband that, "marble would work much better because marble gets cold quickly and stays cold for a long period of time. In fact, ice cream stores even make ice cream on cold marble." He replied, "You're right and that is a great idea!" The idea stayed with me and I felt my mom encouraging me to find a way to help people who suffer from migraines. The creation of Migraine Miracle® is the result of extensive research, time, effort and of course my mom's divine guidance.
With my cold stone concept stuck in my mind and my strong desire to help end the pain of others, I embarked on a journey to learn everything possible about migraines. Considering how debilitating migraine symptoms are to people's lives, it was surprising to learn that medical schools offer little education on the subject. I was determined to find a natural, holistic solution so migraine sufferers would not have to settle for injections or prescription drugs that can have severe negative side effects.
In my near decade of research and development, I consulted with a certified medicinal aromatherapist. We created specific essential oils blends to treat headaches by physiologically calming the brain. I also discovered that 36° is the ideal temperature for marble stones to reduce vascular swelling, which eliminates the pounding sensation in the brain. And, keeping with my Mom-inspired theory about marble, I found an old-world stone maker to hand-craft my specially designed shapes.
Teaching professional massage therapists and sharing Kelly Lott's Migraine Miracle® Method with thousands of migraine sufferers all over the country has been an absolute honor and privilege to include in my 24-year practice as a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist and doula.
Although my Mom is no longer with me, I know in my heart that she provided the inspiration and guidance to make Migraine Miracle® a reality. None of this would have been possible without her encouragement to create a natural, holistic and preventative migraine therapy that I can share with the world.
