NOLLI NAMED PROVINCIAL ALL-STAR

Congratulations to Evan Nolli who was named to the AAA Provincial All-star team. Nolli was ranked as the top defensive lineman in BC after earning AAA Western Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors two weeks ago. Nolli currently has 71 tackles, the most among defensive linemen, and also added 9 sacks. Evan also starts on offense, is a team captain and among the top 40 ranked players in Canada by CFC.

HYACKS BACK IN FINAL FOUR!

The Hyacks turned in their most complete effort of the season with a dominating 34-16 win over the #1 ranked team in BC, Lord Tweedsmuir. Broxx Comia had a career game with 299 yards rushing and all 5 TDs, tying a school record, as the team rushed for an impressive 447 yards in total. Defensively Matthew Lalim and Greyson Planinsic each intercepted passes that led to TDs. Kinsale Philip, Vishaan Narayan and Taran Birdi were among those who stood out defensively.
New West will now play in the provincial AAA semi finals for the 4th straight year, on Saturday, Nov 24th at 7pm at BC Place Stadium. Tickets are available for direct purchase from Marilyn Davis or Pete Battistin or they can be purchased for $11 dollars here.

YOUTH FOOTBALL

ATOM:
Hyacks Black finished up the regular season with an impressive 10-0 record beating Warriors Blue 8-0. A 40 yard catch and run by George Paterakis to set up a TD by Alexander Biniaris and Luca Mauxion making his kicking debut with a 2 point kick convert. Austin Zhang also had a 35 yard run. Hyacks Black finish the season first in their division and will head into the playoffs with home field advantage.
 
The Hyack Black and Orange teams will face each other in the VMFL semi-finals this Nov 25th at 10am at Mercer Stadium.
