Update Yahrzeit Information in Shul Cloud
|
If you have endured the loss of a family member and wish to be notified of the Yahrzeit please
log into ShulCloud with your username and password. Once you
are in your account
click on the Yahrzeit Tab, 3rd tab
from the left on the
top. Click Add Yahrzeit.

YIS Family Mission to Israel 2.0, August 2019
|
The mission is slated to start on Wednesday, August 21st and conclude on Thursday, August 29th. Once again the mission will be led by YIS Guide, Maayan Leshem, along with the spiritual guidance of Rabbi Morgenstern, and will start off with several days in and around Jerusalem, including an inspiring Shabbat in Israel's eternal capital. The trip will also include several days in the Western Galil and other Northern Israel sites. We will have activities honoring Bar and Bat Mitzvah age children, and will be visiting numerous places that have NOT been included in recent YIS Family Mission itineraries. This is a mission designed for families with kids of all ages, first-time visitors and veteran Israel travelers. We will also have a kids counselor for our younger children. The estimated ground price of the trip will be $2850/per person (double occupancy) and $2500 for
a third child in a room. Michelle & David Levine and Natalie & Jason Yellin
are co-chairs for this trip. Please contact Jason, David or the Rabbi for more information.

Monday, February 25th, SAR High School is hosting the second annual Filmfest - in partnership with the nationally recognized LUNAFEST® - attended by hundreds of community members last year.
The SAR Film Fest is committed to
developing empathy
and mutual understanding in our communities. SAR is partnering with LUNAFEST® because of our shared belief that by seeing and discussing exceptional film-making, we will achieve more open and honest communication. A micro-grant from The Jewish Education Project is helping to partially
fund the festival.
LUNAFEST® films highlight women as leaders in society, illustrated through
short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women's health, body image, relationships, cultural diversity and breaking barriers. The post-screening discussion will examine connections between the films.
Open to the public.
