Students Organize Giving Projects
Giving Tree
The senior high Student Council is collecting NEW hats, scarves, and mittens for those in need in our community. Items can be placed on the Giving Tree in the lobby at York Catholic until December 19.

Coat Drive
The National Honor Society is collecting gently used coats for their Coat Drive. A collection box will be in the lobby until December 19. The coats will be donated to the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.

Toy Drive
Students are currently collecting Christmas presents for the children who are patients at Hershey Medical Center, in remembrance of Jacob Gurrerri. Parents of the children at Hershey will be able to choose some gifts and have them "delivered" on Christmas Eve.

Chris Gurreri, a YC graduate, is coordinating this toy drive in memory of his brother Jacob, who was five-years-old when he died. This is the 13th year anniversary of his death.  The Gurreri family was fortunate enough to stay in the Ronald McDonald House during the three weeks that Jacob was being treated at Hershey Medical Center.

The Ronald McDonald House offers the following gift ideas (MUST be new, unwrapped, items in original box):
  • Stuffed animals
  • Coloring books and crayons/markers
  • Books
  • Board games
  • Children's movies
  • Action figures
  • Dolls
  • Legos
  • Christmas stockings with stocking stuffer items
  • Blankets
Students are asked to have all toys to their homerooms by the morning of Tuesday, December 18, at 8:15 AM. Thank you for your generosity this holiday season in helping to make Christmas a little brighter for the children who are in the hospital.
Musical Auditions
Students in grades 7-12 are invited to audition for this year's spring musical, Cinderella, on Tuesday, November 27, and Wednesday, November 28, from 3:15-6 PM in the auditorium. Students should prepare to sing a song from the Rodgers and Hammerstein's show and do a cold read from the script. No previous experience needed.
Callbacks will be held November 29-30 from 3:15-6 PM.

Questions can be sent to Ms. Pantano at [email protected] . Save the dates for the performances March 1-3.
