(Snow date March 4th)
Join us for a fact-filled, informative and entertaining evening with local historian, Natalie Karl.
In 1872, Ohio native Victoria Woodhull made history when she ran as the Equal Rights Party candidate against incumbent President Ulysses S. Grant.
Trailblazing just behind Woodhull, and in spite of not being able to vote for herself, suffragette, educator and attorney Belva Ann Lockwood won 4,149 votes in 1884.
Karl will give a lively presentation on the lives, struggles and successes of these two early feminists.
