2020 ASHI ANNUAL MEETING
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, ASHI's in-person annual meeting in Anaheim, California is moving to a virtual platform. We thank you for your patience and understanding while we took the time to thoroughly evaluate the best option for our membership and for the Society.

Our goal remains to provide you with a top-notch scientific program, opportunities to network with your peers, and clinically relevant information that will help all of us to improve the quality of human life and health through the translation and implementation of scientific innovations to clinical practice.

In the coming weeks, the Annual Meeting Program Planning Committee will work diligently to transform our in-person meeting to a virtual platform. For now, please continue to save the dates!
OCTOBER 19-23, 2020

Notification of removing typing transformation (MACD to G Group)
The Multiple Allele Codes (MAC) to G transformation function was implemented in response to clinicians' request to simplify HLA listing in MAC Service (MS). Subsequently, the action created confusion on the lab side when the allele code on the Lab report was converted to the HLA G group in MS. They couldn't find a solution to meet both needs, therefore NMDP has decided to remove this change.

FOCIS 2020 Annual Meeting
FOCIS has decided to convert the FOCIS 2020 Annual Meeting on October 28-31, 2020, from an in-person meeting to a fully virtual event and ASHI is still cosponsoring two symposia within this meeting.
