ANNOUNCEMENTS
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2019
  • No school Mon., Feb. 18 for Presidents' Day.
  • Girls on the Run starts next Tues., Feb. 19! 7th and 8th grade girls can participate in the Girls on the Run after-school program that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays. They do fun activities and games, have snacks, and work on improving their walking and running. Students who are interested in participating should see Ms. McClure in room B-5 for an application or more info. Space is limited!
  • The Cheer and Dance tryout information meeting will be held Wed., Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. in the FHS gym. This is for rising 7th-12th grade students who are interested in trying out for the 2019-20 school year.
  • Students going into 9th grade at FHS next school year: There are some deadlines approaching for application courses, auditions, and tryouts. Please visit the FHS website for more information. FHS Application/Audition/Tryout Info

Please note the following CAP dates for FHS and WJHS:

Feb. 5:    Bulldog Bash field trip to FHS from 8:45-11:45 &  FHS staff will be at Woodland after                    lunch to help students select courses
Feb. 6:    FHS Parent Info Night from 5:30-6:30 
               -rising 9th graders in the PAC
               -rising 9th-12th ELL session in the Blackbox
Feb. 7:    Pick-A-Time open to schedule conferences (closes at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27)
Feb. 27:  CAP conferences for 9th-12th grades, FHS Commons from 4:30-8:00 p.m.

WJHS
Feb. 28:  Current 6th graders field trip to tour Woodland 9:00-11:00
Feb. 28:  Parent Info CAP night
               -rising 8th grade at 5:00 p.m.
               -rising 7th grade at 6:30 p.m.

Current 7th Grade Parents: Tues., Jan. 29 your student brought home a Career Action Planning (CAP) information letter that explains the CAP process, the vital part parents/guardians play in the process, and how to schedule a CAP conference. Students Earn Microsoft Certification
Congratulations to these 8th grade students who passed the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification this week.

2019-20 Sports Tryout Info

Below is a link for the 2019 FPS sports tryout dates and requirements for next school year's 2019-20 teams. Please note that ALL students participating in a tryout will need a current physical.

We have also added the dates to the  Woodland website calendar.
New Free Tutoring Options

We have new tutoring options available. Students can participate in free tutoring sessions Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m., and transportation home is provided if needed.

We also offer tutoring sessions Mondays and Thursdays 7:30-8:15 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.
As always, drinks and snacks will be provided at every session.

Please contact Mr. Glade at  [email protected] for information about free transportation on Tuesdays as space is limited.
Snack Shack Success

Thank you to our wonderful PTO for putting together a special Valentine's Day Snack Shack sale!

All the parents who donated and volunteered helped raise money and make this a success for our school!
