Dear Friends and Neighbors:

REMINDER: Council Member Greg Travis will h ost a screening of " CHANGED: WHEN THE DAMS OPENED", a film p roduced by Maria Sotolongo.

This film will be shown, free of charge, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. in the Legacy Room, 1st Floor of City Hall, 901 Bagby, Houston, TX 77002. All interested persons are invited to attend.

"Changed" reveals the story of ten families whose lives were altered permanently  after the storm. From a pregnant mother who gave birth to her first child early,  due to the stress of the hurricane; to the death of a loved one who drowned in his  own home. "Changed" explores ways to heal and rebuild after the devastating  blow Harvey brought to Houston.

Maria doesn't just narrate the story, she also shares her own family's  struggles. They too lost everything in their one-story home when it took  on 4.5 feet of water for 14 days.

Maria  got her start in TV as an entertainment reporter and meteorologist for  Fox news but has since moved behind the camera as a filmmaker and producer.

The film will be shown free of charge, and Council Member Travis will be providing food and refreshments from Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen.
