Dear families,

Happy October! Christ Church has many fun activities and events this month for children. The Halloween Festival will be on Sunday, October 28, at 5:00 PM in the All Saints Center. We are encouraging everyone to wear costumes! There will be games and activities for children of all ages. There will also be hotdog and hamburger plates available. We are encouraging all members to attend and to bring friends. The whole event is free! After the festival there will be a Spooky Organ Concert in the church. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sunday morning offerings are going well. Thank you all who are bringing your children to Children's Ministries offerings and for those who are volunteering - Emily and I would not be able to offer the four offerings each Sunday without you! I am in need of K3 Sunday School teachers and teachers for the FaithSteps class. All we ask is that you are Safe Church trained by the end of December. If you would be interested in teaching, please let me know!

A new Sunday School class is being offered for parents. The Parenting Faithfully Adult Sunday School Class will meet in room 103 of the All Saints Center from 9:30 - 10:15 AM. Parenting Faithfully is an informal discussion of Sticky Faith: Everyday Ideas To Build Lasting Faith In Your Kids by Dr. Kara E. Powell and Dr. Chap Clark. Sticky Faith is an easy read that offers both a rationale and a strategy to show parents how to encourage their children's spiritual growth so that as they leave for college and beyond, they will have a faith that will stick with them. Facilitated by Caroline Avinger.

Blessings,
Director of Children's Ministries

Rhythms of Grace: Sunday, October 21, 3:00 PM, Markley Chapel
This service is designed for children and families with special needs, but it is also a wonderful service for younger children. The service will last about forty-five minutes and includes signing, storytelling, hands-on exploration of the story, Eucharist, and fellowship time. This is a great way to introduce your child to a church service where it is okay if they cannot sit still or are loud.
