We are so close. So many have stepped up to support GPRA during our Thanksgiving Match and we cannot thank you enough. Every dollar counts and we expect to surpass our $80,000 goal by Thanksgiving day.
Many of you are aware I lost my 13 year old Jenkins this summer. Subsequently, I told our group to let me know if we get a big goofy male in. It didn't take long before Marla, Dee and Heather called to tell me about Sam. Sam was from a rural area in Georgia whose owner died and Sam became the neighborhood dog. He arrived to GPRA horribly matted with sores on his body, very thin (at 86 pounds) and heart worm positive. He needed to be shaved down and our friends at VCA said he didn't cry once as they shaved over his sores while he kept giving them the PYR PAW. They said Sam also had a giant head. Well that was enough for me and I adopted Sam sight unseen. I just had one caveat. All my daughters and PYRS names begin with "J" so Sam has become
JAM!!!
Jam has completed his heart worm treatment, has grown a lot of his hair back and now weighs 125 pounds. He is a big goofball, constantly gives all present his PYR PAW and prefers to take his seat on me. He sleeps on his back and snores. He is perfect!!!
Please donate to help us rescue these amazing Gentle Giants. We are investing an average of $1,300 in every PYR rescued and really need your help to continue to make this happen.
Thank you,
