2019 AIA MIDDLE EAST BOARD!
|
|
Dear Members,
It is my pleasure to serve as the AIA Middle East President for 2019.
I would like first to thank the outgoing president, Daniel Henderer and the entire 2018 AIAME board who all contributed to last year's great achievements.
With a lot of enthusiasm, I'm looking forward to another successful year for the AIA Middle East Chapter.
We are actually off to a good start with many events already planned for this year.
Several goals have been set which are mainly summarized in enhancing our presence in several countries of the MENA Region, increasing our Chapter's members and of course securing new sponsors.
With the great team we have, I'm totally confident our goals will be easily reached.
We, at the AIA Middle East Board always welcome your suggestions, encourage you to communicate with us and share your concerns, ideas & thoughts.
Best wishes to all of you in the AIA ME for the successful 2019.

AIA Conference on Architecture 2019!
Blueprint for a Better Future!
This is the A'19 theme for this year, designing a better future means taking on the critical challenges facing cities-and our world-today.
Future cities
Beyond its excess, extremes, and appetite for the ersatz, Las Vegas is a global pioneer in design. Its ever-changing landscape is an incubator for the kind of transformation that influences architecture and design trends the world over.
And with tens of millions of visitors each year, Las Vegas is boldly on display. Not just the casinos and nightlife, but the hospitals, schools, community centers, parks, apartment buildings, and art installations that are part of people's everyday lives.
This work is a testimony to how architects are designing a better future by taking on the critical challenges facing cities-and our world-today.
At A'19, we'll explore designing a better future, for everyone.
Your own Blueprint for a Better Future
You'll leave Las Vegas with actionable insights that will inspire your projects and your practice, from some of the most creative architects, designers, firms, and futurists.
A'19 programming includes sessions on artificial intelligence, data visualization, 3D concrete printing, Amazon Spheres, tall wood, nano-grid condos, immigrant architects, overcoming houselessness, the latest in WELL design, the energy-hog myth, designing border crossings and ports of entry, zero net energy affordable housing, new codes and standards, and architecture tours of local standouts like Frank Gehry's Lou Ruvo Brain Center, Seven Magic Mountains, and the Downtown Container Park.
Don't miss it! Join us in Las Vegas June 6-8, 2019.
