Dear Saints,
It is almost time to start thinking about course registration for the 2019-2020 school year. In the next few weeks we will be emailing out course registration information. Please be sure to process your re-enrollment by submitting your registration fee and completing your 2019-2020 Re-enrollment Form before the deadline of March 1, 2019. Click here to access FACTS. This is also the last week before the close of the next Progress Reporting period on February 15. If you are in need of some extra help, be sure to reach out to myself or your teacher! Tutoring lists are available. Grades will be available in your Aeries Portals on Wednesday, February 20 due to the holiday weekend.

Important Study Hall Information

Please note that when students utilize Study Hall for make up exams, they will now be required to present a photo ID in order to
access
their exam. Please be sure to carry your school ID and/or driver's license with you at all times.

The start of second semester is a time for reflection, goal setting, and to check in with our students in the class of 2021. During your check in we will discuss your first semester progress, develop your four year plan, and discuss course registration. Be on the lookout for a call slip!

We will cover information related to preparation for the ACT/SAT and answer many of your questions regarding the college search and application process. It is never too early to be informed! Community College Deadline
|
|
Attention Seniors! Please note that the Freshmen Advantage deadline for community colleges is
April 12.
It is important that you meet this deadline to receive priority registration. Also take advantage of IVC's Fast Friday Program.
During the
Fast Friday Program
you will participate in group advisement, create your first semester academic plan, complete orientation and get a campus tour! Parents are invited to participate in the day's activities and can attend a Parent Orientation.
Students who complete the matriculation process by April 12, will receive a Freshman Advantage Early Registration Time and get to enroll in FAll 2019 and Spring 2020 courses ahead of most currently enrolled IVC students and other new students.

SAT/ACT Comparison Test for The Class of 2021 (Sophomores)
|
|
Through a partnership with The College Blueprint, CLHS students are eligible to enroll in one FREE ACT or SAT prep class. Classes are offered throughout the school year, as well as during the summer. ACT and SAT prep classes are held on campus at CLHS. Before selecting a prep class, we recommend taking the FREE SAT/ACT Comparison test to determine which test your student should prepare for.
When: Saturday April 13th, 8:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Crean Lutheran High School; Multipurpose Room
What: This comparison test will help determine whether you are best suited for the SAT or the ACT

As the semester progresses, often student stress levels increase as well. Please support your student and help them manage both their schedule and their stress levels. Many students are pulled in multiple directions and have a hard time managing everything. As we complete class registration, we are working to get students in the most appropriate classes possible. Please note: there is no "magic" number of Honors/AP classes. The most important thing is that they are in classes that they can handle.
