Hundreds of family members, alumnae, and friends came to the Carondelet Athletics Complex Open House on Saturday to stroll the grounds and see our new home fields! Thanks to everyone that came out, and we're looking forward to making it our new home!

Parking Lot alert Thursday evening

Expect some traffic delays in the parking lot during Thursday evening as construction prep begins for the STEM Innovation Center. Heavy machinery will be staged in the parking lot between the Gym and Back Gate from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Flaggers will direct traffic in the area. Please give plenty of space in the area and allow for some extra time in the parking lot.
Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts:
sale ends tonight at 9 p.m.

Carondelet senior council designed this shirt to show individuals battling breast cancer and their families that the Carondelet Sisterhood supports breast cancer awareness. 

Sales close at 9:00 tonight!
Shirts are $20 each.

Proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to a worthy organization. Our students are still researching which breast cancer organization will receive the donations. 

Students are asked to wear their shirt to the Pink Out Homecoming game on October 5. Shirts will be available for pick up in the Carondelet school store on October 4.
CSF Applications close this week 
Sign-ups for CSF have begun. Applications and information are available on the Students page.
Sign-ups will end on September 28 at 3:00 p.m. No applications will be accepted after this time. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Silveira .

Basketball Open Gym - Thu. Sept., 27

Athletics announcement: Open gym for basketball will start on Thursday, September 27 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. All students interested in participating in basketball should attend.

Online Stores for all Fall Sports are now open for you to select your Carondelet sports apparel by Under Armour! The stores will close Monday, October 1 so don't wait to place your order.

Emergency Text message opt-in

In order to receive text messages from Carondelet in emergency situations, you must opt-in to this service. While 60% of parents and guardians have already opted in, many phone numbers are still "pending approval." For those numbers that still show as "pending approval,"  Carondelet will send another text prompt on Thursday, October 4. We will provide more information in next week's  E-Newsletter.
Homecoming Dance & Homecoming Week

Homecoming is an exciting tradition that culminates with a dance on Saturday, October 6!  Click here  for more information on ticket sales, guest passes, dress code and the new vision of the dances to match age-appropriate groups and ease congestion. Tickets to the Frosh/Soph Dance can be purchased here.

Pre-sale for the lunchtime food sale on Wednesday (10/3) will happen on Wednesday (9/26) and Thursday (9/27) during lunch. Faculty/Staff are all welcome to pre-order. We will be offering Chick-fil-A Sandwiches, CREAM Cookie Sandwiches, Jamba Juice, and Los Panchos Burritos. Pre-sale is the  only  way to get food, we cannot order any extra, so please order during lunch this week.

Blood Drive - Oct. 3


C arondelet and De La Salle are hosting a Blood Drive at the Carondelet Gym O n Wednesday, October 3  from  8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

There will be  TWO TYPES of donations, whole blood and double red, which you can look into on the appointment link. All parents, alumni, family, and friends are welcome and encouraged to sign-up and give blood!

Frosh Day of Service - Wed. Oct. 10

"Frosh Day of Service" is Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 8:05 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  This is a special day when the entire freshman class will be introduced to the Carondelet tradition of "serving our dear neighbor".  Our 200+ frosh students will go out into the community to volunteer in the morning, then gather back at school for reflection and prayer.  Please read the full letter for more information.

Dear Families, help us produce the section most students immediately turn to - the family ad section. This is your opportunity to put in that adorable pictures of your daughter... or that hysterical photo you have threatened to show the world!

Our Calendar is now online!

We update our online College and Career calendar regularly with college events happening on-campus and throughout the Bay Area, like the upcoming NACAC and Performing Arts College Fair and the Coast-to-Coast College Consortium information session.  We post annual parent information nights and in-class student programs too. The Director of Financial Aid at Stanford will speak about the FASA, financial aid and scholarship opportunities. This event is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and their parents.

(HOWL)  College and Career is Here On Wednesdays Late
Parents of seniors, encourage your daughters to drop by the College and Career Center on Wednesday afternoons. College counselors will answer questions, review essays, and help students with applications. HOWL Wednesdays are a fun tradition we're excited to bring back this year. 

Lunchtime Career Exploration Series | Wednesday, October 3 
Is your daughter undecided about a future career path? Please encourage her to attend our lunchtime career exploration series. Join alumna Nicole Benevente 07' on
Wednesday, October 3 to discuss the exciting world of project management for construction design. Students receive a list of colleges offering majors in this lucrative career.

Athletics would like to invite all winter sport parents to an Athletics Winter Sports meeting.  Mon,   October 15  |   7:00 p.m. Garaventa Center
 
Meet your new Athletics' Staff and receive some important information regarding your daughter's participation in sports at Carondelet High School.
 
In addition our head athletic trainer will be doing a live demo of Sportsware to hopefully make filling out your daughter's paperwork less stressful as there have been some changes.
