DRAGON TALES
1/31/19

Dear St. George Families,

As we end Catholic Schools Week and we are at the mid-point of the school year, I want to thank you for being here and helping us provide your children with a positive school experience. I honestly feel that St. George is a good and positive experience for our students and that they do want to be here. That is evident each day by the smiles on their faces and their great attitudes and efforts in the classroom. Thank you for entrusting your children to us.

Sending children to a Catholic school is a sacrifice for every family. Your tax dollars support local public schools, which is great and a responsibility we all share. In deciding to send your children to St. George you are recognizing there is something more you want for your children and your family - that is support in your family's growth and spirituality.

We are not a private school, but a parochial school. A school in which the spirituality of every child and family is of prime importance. Teaching our children that they are children of God, special and unique, is what we are all about: teaching them and instilling within them the desire to become faith-filled disciples of Christ.

I want to thank you for all you do to support our school and your child's education with your own time, talent, and treasure. Our greatest legacy is to educate the next generation not just in reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic but also to teach them to be kind, caring, respectful, and responsible. It is with these values and skills that our children will become the leaders of the future making a positive impact in the world.

God bless you and your family!

Jack Nelson
