LITERACY WEEK IS ALMOST HERE!

Next Monday, February 25th kicks off Bay Laurel's Annual Literacy Week and Barnes and Noble book fair. The theme this year is the "Superpower of Reading" and celebrates our community's super heroes. Please see the schedule below for details about our special guest readers at Barnes and Noble, dress up days at school, and how to win prizes throughout the week.

Kinders, come out and enjoy an afternoon of sports with classmates lead by Coach Dante. This is a great way to get to know the sports/games that Coach Dante offers in after school enrichment. Kinder Games in the Park is on March 8th 1-3pm. Sign up by Monday, March 4th.

Attention all Bay Laurel parents.....Join fellow Bay Laurel Mom Tiffani Brooks for a Friday morning indoor cycling ride at DIG Cycle in Calabasas. Class with take place on Friday, March 8th at 10:30am. Sign up by Wednesday, March 6th. Get your cycle on!!

4th & 5th grade girls can join their moms at the Mother/Daughter Challah Baking Class on Sunday, March 10 @ 10am. Sign up by Sunday, March 3rd.

Calling all 2nd graders who want to play games with their friends. Coach Dante will lead activities like Capture the Flag, Doctor Dodge Ball, Super Soccer and more! Second Grade Games in the Park will be on Friday, March 29th @ 4pm in Calabasas Hills Park. Sign up by Sunday, March 24th.

2020 LA COUNTY ELECTIONS

USING BAY LAUREL AS A POLLING PLACE - INPUT NEEDED NOW!

As Los Angeles County prepares for the 2020 Presidential Election, exploration of polling sites and newly proposed hours are up for discussion. *THIS INCLUDES BAY LAUREL!*

One of the major proposed changes includes having voting sites, like Bay Laurel, be open for voting for four or even eleven days! For a summary of LVUSD's position, click here . Our district staff has suggested a number of alternative site s, instead of using our schools as polling sites.

If you are opposed to our campus being used as an official polling place (thus letting countless unscreened adults on campus, for potentially more than one day), please let the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk know your position on the use of Bay Laurel for voting!
