We have many activities and opportunities for students to stay after school. We offer a variety of clubs, sports and activities as well as time with classroom teachers to finish homework or receive academic support. Please note that there are no after school activities at the Middle School on Wednesdays.
While we welcome students to stay and engage in these opportunities, we do require that all students are supervised by an adult while in the building after school hours. Students are allowed ten minutes from the end of classes to arrive at their scheduled activity or the classroom where they will be working. Students who are not under the supervision of an adult must leave the building by 2:25 p.m.
We do provide two activity buses for students staying after school. Our 3:00 p.m. bus is a shuttle to the high school where students then transfer to the high school bus routes. We also provide a 4:30 p.m. bus which provides limited service into students' neighborhoods.
While we understand that circumstances occasionally arise, we require that students waiting for a ride from a parent are picked up in a timely manner.
We do not have staff available to provide supervision for students who are waiting in our building for extended periods of time.
