Celebrate Science at the Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Festival
Join the City of Chandler in celebrating the exploration of invention by attending the
Chandler Science Spectacular. This free, annual event showcases businesses, artists, students and innovators in the community as Chandler participates in the statewide Arizona SciTech Festival. This year's festivities will be held in Downtown Chandler on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Chandler Science Spectacular features 'sneaky science' that entertains the whole family while explaining how science is important to daily life. Check out interactive demonstrations by Chandler's technology companies along with the next generation of science from University of Arizona, Arizona State University and more.
Local K-12 schools and organizations have once again been invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Competition. Six winning teams will each be awarded a $500 prize for the most educational, most creative and most passionate projects.

Learn How to Start Exporting or Grow Your Export Sales by Participating in Global Dreams
The City of Chandler will host a four-part export development workshop series at City Hall starting on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Called Global Dreams, the program offers critical information for small businesses that are considering exporting for the first time or looking to grow their export sales. A session will be held each week over four weeks with the last one on Feb. 27. Scholarships are available to Chandler businesses, making it free to participate.
Organized by Maricopa SBDC and delivered by export experts, participants will learn how to assess their export readiness, identify foreign buyers, market their products, finance their sales and manage risk with export credit insurance. Unlock opportunities by learning how to sell to the 95% of the world's population located outside of the United States.

Boots to Business Reboot Offers Veterans and Spouses an Introduction to Entrepreneurship
A free entrepreneurial education and training program called Boots to Business Reboot will be held at the Hamilton Library on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
O
ffered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the program is designed for veterans and their dependents who have already made the transition back to civilian life. Veterans of all eras and branches (including the National Guard and Reserves), as well as their spouses, are eligible to enroll for the workshop.
Participants will learn how to evaluate business concepts, the foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan, and public and private sector resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance.
